Tim’s Morning Routine

Eat 30g protein in a shake

Listen to 1 song (same one for a while as a state cue)
Meditate during the song - think about all the things you are grateful for and his self-talk line is: “You have
all the time you need to do the important things you need to do today.”
Drink yerba mate tea (Argentina) / ‘’purewo’’ tea

Next:
1 hour of non-work releated ‘meditation’ - comic book pencilling for him (Guitar for me)

Next:
Post-it with 1-3 to’do’s and not to do’s.
Circle the most NB one to do, the one that will affect the most aspects of my life (this is often the most
uncomfortable one to do, think Dr Paul’s ‘doing courage’)
Tim considers his day a success if he completes just that one task.

Next:
1 hour walk to lunch. To get outside. Nietzsche's idea that the best thoughts happen while walking.
He schedules 5-10 phone calls to get through on this walk, or just records and sends voice messages
instead of emails.

Also Tim says ego is underrated.

You have to believe that you can do things, or go places, that others can’t or won’t. It makes you DO stuff,
makes you try things. It’s a form of confidence. And verbalizing your belief helps make it happen.
It also helps you survive and bounce back from the inevitable failures.
At the same time he belives in doing the odd ‘ego reset’ that Rogan advocates. Isolation tank, psychedelic
ego-death experiences.

Tim on Seneca. He learned to not be fearful and make his decisions through Seneca. Letters from a Stoic:
