• Part – A:
▪ It consists two sections- I and II.
▪ Section I has 14 questions of 1 mark each.
▪ Section II has a Case Study Question. It has 5 case-based sub-parts. An
examinee is to attempt any 4 out of 5 sub-parts.
• Part – B
▪ It consists three sections III, IV and V.
▪ Question No 16 to 18 are Very short answer Type questions of 2 marks each.
▪ Question No 19 and 20 are Short Answer Type questions of 3 marks each.
▪ Question No 21 and 22 are Long Answer Type questions of 5 marks each.

I. Solve the following. ( 14 ×1 = 14)
1) Two sides of a triangle are of length 5 cm and 1.5 cm. The length of the third side of
the triangle cannot be 6.9 cm. State whether the statement is true or false. Give reason.

21) In the given figure, ∆ABC and ∆DBC are two isosceles triangles on the same base BC
and vertices A and D are on the same side of BC, AD is extended to intersect BC at P.
Show that : (i) ∆ABD ≅ ∆ACD (ii) ∆ABP ≅ ∆ACP

In the given figure, T and M are two points inside a parallelogram PQRS such that
PT = MR and PT || MR. Then prove that
(a) ΔPTR ≌ ΔRMP
(b) RT || PM and RT = RM

22) a) Simplify the following: (√𝟓 + √𝟐 )2 ( 2 marks)

b) What is the value of (256)0.16 × (256)0.09? ( 3 marks)
