    [COURSE INFORMATION]

    The objective of this course is to explore the basic 2D computer graphic software widely
    used in design processes. Through step-by-step demonstrations, tutorials, in-class

    exercises, and assignments, students will learn to utilize relevant 2D graphic tools to

    create imageries and apply them to various designs including business card, post card,
    and other applications for visual communication and product design.

    None.
    PREREQUISITE
    No previous experience of computer graphic is needed.
    The course will be taught at a computer lab with access to the graphic software: Adobe
    COURSE REQUIREMENTS
    Photoshop and Illustrator.

    Attendance: 10%

    Exercises: 10%

    Assignments: 40%
    GRADING POLICY Final project: 40%

    Because of students’ need for access to the graphic software, students will complete all
    of the given in-class exercises, assignments, and projects during class time.

    No textbook is needed.
    Mode of teaching: demonstration, tutorials, and in-class practice

    TEXTS & NOTES


    Each student needs to bring an USB drive (+8MB) to use instructor-provided image files

    and/or photos taken from mobile phone, and save his/her own work files.
    Also, bring blank A4 papers and thick black pens for rough sketching and note taking.
