 Provide care for two patients on a 20-bed unit in a widely known comprehensive stroke
center
 Manage patients with acute strokes, spinal surgeries, head bleeds, unruptured and
ruptured aneurysms, tumor resections, neurological autoimmune diseases, post cardiac
arrest, and seizures
 Responsible for assessing neurological status and vital signs every 15 minutes to 2
hours depending on the protocol and specific diagnosis of each patient
 Care for post-operative patients including intervention radiology procedures, aneurysm
coiling and clippings, craniectomies, endoscopic endonasal approach surgeries, and
carotid endarterectomies
 Competent in providing care for external ventricular drains, lumbar drains, intubated
patients, trached patients, IV medications such as sedatives, paralytics, anti-
hypertensives, vasopressors, and antibiotics
