Nowadays the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology.

In what
ways has technology affected the types of relationships that people make? Has this been a positive or
negative development?

Technology has become one of the most influential parts of our daily life in this day and age due to its
essential conveniences toward our living activities. Therefore, it is true that new technologies have had
an influence on communication among people. Technology has affected relationships in various ways,
and I strongly believe that there are both positive and negative effects.

On the one hand, technology has had a positive impact on relationships in business, education and social
life. To start with, telephones and the Internet allow business people in different countries to interact
without ever meeting each other. Moreover, services like Skype create new possibilities for relationships
between students and teachers. For example, a student can now take video lessons with a different city
or country teacher.

On the other hand, these developments can be extremely negative. These days, interactions by email,
phone or video are almost as good as face-to-face meetings. For that reason, it is true to say that
technology promotes a sedentary lifestyle. Furthermore, the availability of new communication
technologies can also isolate people and discourage real interaction. For instance, many young people
choose to make friends online rather than mixing with their peers in the real world, and as a result,
these ‘virtual’ relationships are a poor substitute for real friendships.

In conclusion, technology has certainly revolutionized communication between people, but not all of the
outcomes of this revolution have been positive.

Topic: As computers are being used more and more in education, there will be soon no role for teacher
in the education. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Do:

It is indisputable that the use of computers in education is increasing rapidly. It has been considered
that whether teachers will no longer have a relevant role in the classroom setting in teaching
environment due to the growing use of technology in teaching or not. In my point of view, I absolutely
disagree and this will be outlined in this essay.

There are clearly arguments that computers are wonderful machine and there is no paucity of
information on the web. Computers; however, is an artificial invention which means it is unable to
understand such complicated things like humans’ emotions or feelings and teachers are the one who
can acknowledge their fervours deeply and help them to get over these temporary feelings. For
instance, when students have some problems with their mentally living, the Internet cannot give
suitable advices but teachers can help them to make the right decisions. Furthermore, if students want
to share about their needs, they can speak their minds openly and freely.

Admittedly, teachers have more experiences in knowing how to assist their disciples to analyse and
apply the knowledge into their living activities. Taken English as an example, teachers are capable of
manifesting undergraduates the fastest way to improve. Consequently, pupils will be manageable to
enlarge their capacity of grasp efficiently and save precious time.
In conclusion, although computers are being used ubquitously, teachers will not be on the way to
lose their positions which are germane to schooling.
