Socio-cultural understanding

In socio-cultures, CBT is difficult to enforce. Although CBT can grow organically from the
ground up, Mtapuri & Giampiccoli (2016) point out that it is uncommon for it to do so
without the aid (for example, marketing) and facilitation of external partners. We think it is
more important than ever for people of various cultures, religions, and nationalities to come
together and learn about one another. We agree that this type of education will help to bridge
gaps and build a more unified community (Moghimehfar, F., 2016). Community-based
tourism unquestionably aids in the promotion of intercultural awareness. It encourages people
with very different cultures to interact with one another in a respectful way. We think it's
amazing to see people who would never have met otherwise share time together and learn.
This broadens everyone's horizons while still increasing interfaith and intercultural
awareness.

The 2007–2011 Tourism Master Plan pursued solutions to help communities establish and
encourage cultural attractions and heritage sites for future generations of Maldivians,
including community-based tourism action plans, tendering islands or plots of land for future
hotel or resort construction near to current population centres, and assisting communities in
creating and promoting cultural attractions and heritage sites for future generations of
Maldivians. Tourism-related tax revenue has helped the government to make substantial
investments in many regions, such as local community education.
