4 Check of verification report

4.1 Installation
4.1.1 Capsule cable
The capsule cable should be fixed with metal plate to ensure good ground contact.
Unshielded portion of the capsule cable should be as short as possible with twisted pairs. Refer to
the VDR installation manual.

4.1.2 Power plug

The missing L-bracket should be in place to prevent accidental disconnection of the AC plug. Use
P/N: 2304663 bracket kit.

4.2 APT
4.2.1 Serial inputs
Enable DBK to be transmitted in the echo sounder signal or remove it from formatter in the echo
sounder channel.

The Pump Alarm signal was not detected in the APT data. Sample of all signals should be available
for verification.

4.2.2 Radar image

The radar image is shifted. Re-calibrate by adjusting horizontal offset is required.

4.2.3 Software upgrade

The S-VDR/VDR should be upgraded to the latest software. Version 4.12 is available on Danelec
partner site.

4.3 VDR explorer

The VDR Explorer is not configured (almost default). Each signal recorded in the VDR should have
dedicated object.

4.4 VDR status

The log file indicates the problem with the capsule. The diagnostic using “Danelec service tools” of
the capsule should be performed.
