Experiment Name: Study of performance of single phase Single PWM inverter with R and R-L load
Objective: To study the waveforms of single phase Single PWM inverter with R and R-L loadby PSIM
Simulation.

Theory: The single phase inverter with Single PWM has each switch conducting for M*180 in a cycle and the

pair of switches (IGBT1, IGBT2) & (IGBT3, IGBT4) are turned on at 180 interval.

The Modulation Index is given by M<1 and the output RMS voltage for R load is given by:
V =M *V where V =output rms volts, V =input dc volts. The output current is scalar multiple of the voltage.

The rms of the n harmonic is given by: V =0.90*V *sin(n*M*π/2)/n; n=1,3,5…

For M=2/n, the n harmonic vanishes for n=3,5…..

By PSIM Simulation find the waveforms of output voltage and current for the values of inductance shown for
Modulation Index to eliminate third harmonic.
