EDRIELLE ANN POLICARPIO

PHYSICS 41

REACTION PAPER: MODULE 4

This week's topic is capacitance and dielectrics. Our module 4 topic, which includes
capacitance and dielectrics, is capacitance and dielectrics.A capacitor is a power storage
system that uses an electric charge to store power. The amount of charge that a vacuum
capacitor can store is determined by two key factors: the voltage applied and the physical
properties of the capacitor, such as its size and geometry. When several capacitors are
connected in series, the reciprocal capacitance of the equivalent capacitance is the sum of
the reciprocals of the individual capacitances, whereas when several capacitors are
connected in parallel, the sum of the individual capacitances is the equivalent capacitance. If
a capacitor network contains both series and parallel links, the series and parallel networks
are listed. Before the entire network is reduced to one corresponding capacitance, and their
corresponding capacitances are calculated step by step. The energy contained in a capacitor
is the work required to charge the capacitor starting with no charge on its plates. The electrical
field contains the energy in the space between the capacitor plates. It is determined by the
amount of electrical charge on the plates as well as the potential difference between the plates.
Capacitors provide energy to a wide range of devices, including defibrillators, microelectronics
such as calculators, and flash lamps.
