Research topic:
A Feasibility Study on the Establishment of a drop of point located in Matiao, Pantukan, Davao de
Oro that directly links local farmers to wholesale buyers.
Problematic situation:
If it is feasible to establish a drop of point that will help local farmers in Davao Oriental and Davao
de Oro to sell their crops at a reasonable price without tapping the local buyers that purchase their
produce at a cheaper price.

Details:
The only choice for local farmers that does not have the capacity to transport their products to sell it
at a price that they deemed are reasonable is that they opt to sell it to local buyers that offers them a
cheaper price but eliminate other costs by promising them that they no longer need to pay for
harvesting labor as well as transportation. Thus, the reason for a lower price in exchange for their
products. Not realizing that the farmers’ expenses are bigger than they thought. That is why, we aim
to help local farmers by establishing a drop of point for their produce that could help them find the
right buyer at a price that they both can agree.

Local farmers cannot choose a reasonable price because they are forced to sell their goods
at a low amount. This is a concern because farmers may stop producing their crops because they
can no longer afford continuing on planting such commodities. Also, their families might not opt to
continue to do the family business because of the current scenario that their elders face. A very
little return to a laborious job. Thus, one of our many reasons in pursuing this project is to prevent
a future wherein our country will import the goods that were originally produced by local farmers
