Case Study 1
Jasmine is a 15-year-old high school student who recently got saved in the youth service. She is
passionate about her relationship with Christ and makes herself available for numerous church
activities. Her parents allow her to attend church events, but give her explicit instructions not to
be water baptized. During her Victory Weekend, however, she volunteers to be water baptized.
As soon as her parents find out about her disobedience, Jasmine is prohibited from being
involved in any church activity. However, she lies to her parents and makes up stories due to her
desire to attend. Lately, she has been experiencing conviction from the Holy Spirit and has
developed a desire to make things right. She goes to you for counsel.
How will you counsel her? What Scriptures would you give to her? What practical steps can you
advise her to take in order to be a testimony to her parents?
first, papakinggan ko sya and after that I will tell here na kung na cocompell na sya na mag sabe
ng totoo sa parents nya then go, si God na ang bahala na mag touch sa heart ng parents nya.
Gawin nya nalang yung part nya bilang anak and christian ,like pakita nya sa parents nya kung
paano sya ka willing to know christ more, pakita nya how God change her ,pakita nya na
winoworship nya si God ,hindi na nya kailangan mag sinungaling. I will share din yung verse na
nanggaling sa Ephesians 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is
right.
Case Study 2
Gino is a graduating college student. Before college, he knew that pornography existed, but
never saw it because his parents carefully monitored all the technology at home. On a trip out of
town, some of his high school friends showed him porn for the first time. Since then, Gino
frequently looks at pornography. The problem worsened after he started college and had
unfettered access to the Internet. After struggling with this situation for the past four years, Gino
becomes convinced that as a Christian he must begin to deal aggressively with this sin. A few
weeks later, he approaches you for counsel and asks for help.

Assume that the information you have here is a straightforward presentation of the facts. How
will you counsel him? What Scriptures would you give to him? What practical steps can you
advise him to take as he lives and walks out his victory?
first I will thank him because he ask help about his condition. I will tell him na una confess his
sin with the Lord and sabihan sya na if he really want to free in that sin , suggest ko sakanya na
he should spend less time alone, change his routines ,pag may mga times na parang feeling nya
binubulungan sya ng enemy para mag punta sa pinag babawal na sites , humanap sya ng
accountable people or mag sabe sya na ayan na naman naiisip na naman mag open ng porno
sites, para may mag pray sakanya at may pumigil. And I will share him scriptures coming from
James 5:16 “ Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may
be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective”.

Case Study 3
Melanie is a Victory group leader and is struggling financially. She lost her job and is at the end
of her rope. To help sustain herself and her family while finding a job, she resorts to borrowing
money from other leaders, and eventually from members of her Victory group. She means to pay
them back, but is unable to due to her present circumstances. People are gossiping about her, and
some of her group members are very vocal about asking her for payment. She is thinking of
leaving the church due to guilt, shame and condemnation. She goes to you for counsel.

How will you counsel and restore her? What Scriptures will you give to her?
