Motors Trippings Analysis-

Comparative study of Monthly Motor trippings -

Inferences-
1. Total no of motors tripping in last two months are almost same.
2. There are major increases in Unit-05/07/08 and AHP.
3. There are major decreases in Unit-03 and ETP.
4. There is no change in no.s in unit-06.

Identification of Major Motor trippings-

1. As per last month data 80% of Motor


trippings are in units-03/06/08 and AHP.
2. This month 80% of Motor trippings
are in units-06/07/08 and AHP.

Inferences-
1. There are continuous motor trippings
in Unit-06/08 and AHP as per last two months data.

Analysis-
1. UNIT-08 :
Majority trippings are in 08-PC 101A/B (HT Motors) due to process interlocks. Operations should be vigilant about
process interlocks. HT motors should be reset with a time interval in case of frequent trippings. Spare VCB should be
maintained.
2. AHP :
Majority trippings are in 30KW Goodwin submersible pump due malfunction of Schneider Overload.
Schneider Overload to be replaced.
3. UNIT-06 :
Extractor Motor VFD trip on Overload. Motor and Drive modification job pending.
Various LT motors trip on overload due to pump jam. Overload settings and healthiness to be reviewed.
4. UNIT-07 :
Various LT motors (with ACB and 7SJ6021 Relay) trip on overload/Earth Fault/Unbalanced load.
Spare for ACB breaker and 7SJ6021 relay to be maintained and relay settings should be reviewed.
