give you context as to where residence buildings are
located throughout campus.

Helpful Info:
• Regardless of choice, approximately 50% of
students will be assigned to South Residence as
it is our largest residence.
• If you have a preferred roommate, you can add
each other’s names to your application later in the
summer, via an online portal.
• The $750 deposit should be paid online. The payee
name is University of Guelph — Residence Deposit.
Your 7-digit U of G ID # will be your account number.

our chefs make it all themselves!

How Your Meal Plan Works

• Your Student ID card is your meal card.
• The BASIC PLAN and FLEX PLAN: the BASIC PLAN
is for all on-campus food. If you add FLEX PLAN
dollars you can use those at off-campus restaurants
to dine in or to order delivery, at campus convenience
stores, and other eateries on campus.
• Add the TEXTBOOK PLAN ($1,000) to your meal
plan and then use your meal card to buy your
textbooks. This saves you 10% on purchases at
The Bookstore.
• If you run out of meal plan dollars, it’s easy to
add more money.
• See page 16 for meal plan sizes and costs.

Dining at U of G
• There are five different sizes of meal plans.
Choose the one that suits your lifestyle and
