FOOD AND SCIENCE

People have known how to make fires and explore new things since prehistoric

times. Along with scientific advancements, the way people eat and drink is

evolving and innovating. Everyone wants to live a healthy life and have nutritious

meals. So they learned about how science could improve the nutritional quality of

their meals. This essay will demonstrate two advantages of science in food.

The first, genetically modified food, is one of the most current research on food

science. These are foods containing materials derived from genetically modified

crops or animals genetically modified foods, commonly known as GM foods or

biotech foods. Scientists have added a variety of compounds to the seeds, such as

vitamins and minerals, to increase the nutritional worth of the product. It will

provide a rich nutritional value to individuals who consume them. Genetically

modified foods are popular not just for nutritional worth, but also because it

provides customers with a variety of tasty fruits with new and more appealing

flavors. Chili pepper can be hotter or sweeter according to the user's preferences,

offering various benefits to people such as seedless watermelon, which we may

eat without having to remove the seeds.

Secondly, scientists have shown that this method can solve various farming

problems. GM foods are resistant to illnesses and pests. Genetic modification such

as a vaccine for plants or animals, vaccination is encoded into the genetic code

instead of vaccination. Moreover, genetic modification helps plants in adapting to

local climate and soil conditions, thus resolving agricultural issues. This creates

the conditions for mass production products of agriculture. Reduces shipping

expenses as well as the number of chemicals required for plant growth. Lowering

the expense of agricultural chemicals while also helping to protect the

environment. Besides that, if production costs are low, farms, processing facilities,

and food retail outlets will earn more. Similarly, low production costs will result in

lower selling prices in supermarkets. Consequently, consumers can save money

while also not having to worry about product quality.

To conclude, food science has brought many positives to people's lives. Every

day, people's quality of life tends to improve, and their life expectancy rises. Many

people have begun to use scientific foods to meet their nutritional needs. Food

science products will be extensively accepted in everyone's meals in the future.
