INCINERATOR TANK FILLING SENSOR
DELAY – H2288

PROCEDURE
WARNING: THIS PROCEDURE IS CREATED AND CAN BE USED ONLY FOR THIS PARTICULAR CASE. IN
CASE OTHER SOFTWARE PROBLEM COMES UP, SAME HAS TO BE REVIEWED BY MGM ELECTRICAL
DEPARTMENT PRIOR MODIFICATION FROM VESSEL SIDE.

1. Summary
This procedure aims at advising the crew on how to modify the IAS logic in order to modify the time delay for the
High-level sensors of waste oil tanks of incinerator in order to stop the transfer sludge pump.

2. Login

In order to perform below steps, you need extra privileges.


The first action is to log on as “Chief”.

3. Enter configuration mode


1. Go to System → Tick on “PS Configuration Mode”
2. Go to Operation → select “PS Operation”.
3. Select the PS043.
4. Tick ON “Configuration mode for redundancy group” by pushing SET button. (Click Ok when warning
message is displayed). You will get an alarm saying PS has been degraded when you do this action which
is normal.

4. Time delay modification for (No.1 Waste Oil Tank) IN004

1. On any mimic, right click on the background and select “Find Tag”
2. Enter Tag “IN004”
3. Press “Browse” button
4. Right click on the tag that appears, and select “Parameter View…”

6. Modify the value “Alarm delay – Set Delay” in second with 4 instead of 15
7. Press OK

8. On any mimic, right click on the background and select “Find Tag”
9. Enter Tag “IN002”
10. Press “Browse” button
11. Right click on the tag that appears, and select “Parameter View…”

13. Modify the value “Alarm delay – Set Delay” in second with 4 instead of 15

6. Store the new configuration

Once completed with your modification, take PS backup of PS043


1. Go to Operation → select “PS Operation”.
2. Select PS043
3. Click “Store PS configuration”.

4. After storing PS Configuration (takes about 3 minutes to store so make sure to wait 2 more minutes before
restarting slave PS), restart the slave PS i.e. restart PS143.
5. After completion of above steps, Go to System → Untick on “PS Configuration Mode”
6. Exit “Chief” login and log on as “Operator”.

7. OS Backup

Once completed, proceed with OS backup.

8. Conclusion

The present settings are not final, and it might have to be fine adjusted in case of High-level alarms activation
during adverse weather conditions.
