Time Expressions with Narrative tenses

Example: John does his homework.... The class starts.

By the time the class started, John had done his homework.
The class started after John had done his homework.
John had done his homework before the class started.
John had already done his homework when the class started.
The class started at 6pm. By then John had done his homework.

John sees a unicorn in the forest then he calls his friends then his friends arrive then the unicorn
disappears then his friends say he’s crazy.

John was hiking through the forest when he saw a unicorn, so he calls his friends to help him take pictures.
Several minutes later his friends arrive, the unicorn was eating the leaves of a tree, then to everyone's
amazement the unicorn disappears. John and his friends start looking for him, but he doesn't show up. John's
friends say they are crazy because it wasn't a unicorn, it was a log shaped like a unicorn.

Rachel cooks lunch then the doorbell rings then Rachel answers it and the postman gives her a
parcel then the dog eats the lunch then Rachel returns to the kitchen.

Rachel prepares lunch, she was taking chicken out of the oven in her kitchen when the doorbell
rings, Rachel goes to the door and asks who it is. With an angry face, and the postman tells her, she
opens the door and hands her a package, by then the dog was eating Rachel's lunch, she was very
angry, but she remembered that she had another recipe to make lunch

 It starts raining then Rosa goes into the shop to buy an umbrella then it stops raining then Rosa leaves the
shop.

It was a very sad afternoon when it started to rain my friend Rosa enters a store to buy an umbrella,
but the seller tells him that he does not have large umbrellas, only small ones, shortly after it stops
raining, Rosa leaves the store with a pear umbrella then it is not raining anymore
The tiger eats then we trek through the jungle then we see the tiger.

We saw a tiger eat when we were walking through the African jungle at first we were very scared,
but soon after we saw that the tiger just wanted to eat. We wanted to get closer but the tour guide
warned us that it was very dangerous, by then the tiger had gone back to the jungle, it was a very
fun and dark day
