Introduction
Demonstrate basic aspects of proper grooming / hygiene.

Hello children, how are you today. We are going to learn common activities
that we do everyday in our daily living. What do we usually do to make
ourselves clean.Can you name some?

1.Taking a bath means of achieving

cleanliness by washing away dead skin
cells, dirt,as a preventative measure to
reduce the incidence and spread of
disease. It also may reduce body odors
and makes you fresh/

2.It is important to brush your teeth to prevent gum

disease. Refusal to brush one's teeth for several days
can lead to the onset of gum disease. Brushing
ensures the removal of plaque, which is the primary
cause for tooth decay and gum disease; it also
arrests the build-up of any plaque formation.

3. Handwashing with soap removes

germs from hands. This helps prevent
infections because: People frequently
touch their eyes, nose, and mouth
without even realizing it. Germs can get
into the body through the eyes, nose
and mouth and make us sick.

4.Washing you face in the morning will

remove accumulated environmental debris
in your sleep, so it is necessary to wash them
off in the morning. Dead skin cells and
allergens may collect on your pillowcase and
be transferred to the facial skin throughout
the night.

12
5.It is important to cut our nails to prevent spread of
germs and and others nail infections that maybe in
our long nails.because of their length, longer
fingernails can harbor more dirt and bacteria than
short nails, thus potentially contributing to the spread
of infection.

6. Brushing/combing your hair gently is like a

mini massage that stimulates your scalp,
which, encourages blood flow and hair
growth. Loose hair removal. It's normal to
shed between 50 and 100 strands of hair a
day, so when you brush your hair daily, you
help remove loose hair.

7. We clean our ears because of that substance

called cerumen, commonly called earwax. It's
normal for your body to produce it, and it
actually helps protect and lubricate your ears.
If you don’t the earwax, your ears
would probably be itchy and dry.

8. The idea is to cover your mouth when you

cough (or sneeze) so the germs in your
body are not propelled into the air or across
the room, which could make others sick.

8. Dirty clothes can harbor microorganisms and

can lead to skin infections. Bad body odor can
occur wearing clothes with the bacteria and
fungi found on them. The only way to prevent the
spread of germs found on clothes is to change
your clothes regularly.
