1. JOB PURPOSE
This position shall be responsible for assuring quality benchmark of Forging production, Short Blasting, MPI,
Heat Treatment etc.
2. ORGANISATIONAL CHART
Manager QA
QA Forging Team
CORE ACTIVITIES.
▪ Setup & In process Insp Report verification
▪ Layout Inspection for NPD & Die Modification.
▪ Final Inspection
▪ Process & Product Audit
▪ Daily NC Handling & Disposal
▪ Active participation in New Product Development (Prod.to Dispatch)
▪ Die Inspection - Sinking & Modification & record Maintenance.
▪ Customer Complaint Handling & CAPA
▪ Monitoring of Die Pullout & record verification.
▪ Preparation of QAP/Control plan for NPD & updating in existing one.
▪ Raising 'Q'Alert & training to Inspectors on issue
▪ Responsible for Continual Improvements like Poka yoke, Kaizen, Housekeeping & 5S
▪ Responsible for maintaining of All forging QA records as per QMS.
▪ Manpower Planning & Handling.
▪ Responsible for Final Inspection & finishing activities like grinding and shot blasting.
▪ Monitoring of MPI for crack Detection as per QAP.
▪ Forging QA -MIS Report preparation (Monthly)
▪ Responsible for calibration of Gauges/Inst.as per calibration plan
▪ Responsible for training of subordinates on Inspection & new requirement from customers

▪ Part of CFT for route cause analysis & CAPA for Forging Quality issues.
▪ ERP SAP QA clearance for released parts.
▪ PDIR & MTR submission to stores.
▪ Knowledge of 7QC Tools,8D, QMS like IATF, ISO 9001
▪ IATF Knowledge - PPAP, MSA, PMFEA, PFD & APQP
QMS
▪ Coordination & Implementation with MR for ISO 9001:2015, API Q1/5B/5CT, IATF 16949, ISO 45001 & 14001 etc.
EOHS
▪ Awareness of EHS Policy, Emergency preparedness. Knowledge on legal and other requirements. Awareness on
system requirement for implementation and Standard requirement
▪ Significant Aspects & Impacts / Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment
▪ Operational Control Procedure, Personal protective equipment, EMPs.
▪ Knowledge on Emergency preparedness and Response
▪ Incident / Accident Reporting
4. AUTHORITIES
(Key decisions which the role needs to escalate to superior)
• Take decision on disposal for NC parts.
• Stop production for major NC or rejection

b) Work Experience
▪ 6 to 12 years relevant experience.
