One of the greatest privileges in life is to be a part of a child’s development and I am looking to gain
experience in learning how to provide further support to children and their families to foster a safe
environment for them to learn and grow to their full potential.

Work Experience
Juniper Early Learning Center April 2017-Present
n Currently the Manager and the Head Teacher in the 3-5 classroom

n Managerial duties include ensuring staff follows policies and procedures, scheduling, communicating with parents
of the center and sharing innovative ideas to keep the center running successfully. One of my main priorities as a
manager is ensuring each team member feels valued, respected and happy coming to work.

n Teaching duties include planning and implementing inclusive curriculum appropriate for 3-5 year olds,
communicating and developing respectful relationships with the families and ensuring the health and safety of the
children.

n Developing individualized care plans for children with diverse needs and implementing them in a safe and
respectful way.

Respite Work- Secwepemc Child and Family Services June 2018-Present

§ Care for children ages 3-9 of Indigenous descent that are living in a foster family

§ Assisting with their day-to-day lives; school drop off and pick up, toileting, bedtime, meal times and planning fun
outings with them!

§ Help them problem solve, manage their emotions and communicate in safe and healthy ways.

n Duties included following proper procedures such as interior health protocols and liquor regulations, ensuring each
guest has a memorable and pleasant experience, communicating efficiently and effectively and inputting ideas at
