Three Digit Addition: With Regrouping
Three Digit Addition: With Regrouping

Three Digit Addition Bingo (with regrouping) is a fun bingo game that you can play with your students to
help them practice adding numbers with three digits involving regrouping. It is the traditional Bingo game
that you know and love but with three digit addition sentences.
Students will first create their own Bingo cards by cutting and pasting the addition sentences of their
choice in any order on their Bingo cards. Once their cards have been created, you can call out the sums.
For example, you might say, “The sum is 300.” Your students will have to look on their cards and determine
which addition sentence has that sum. If they have the addition problem with that sum on their card, then
they will cover it up with a counter. The first person to get 5 in a row will shout, “BINGO!” Teachers, you
will use the Bingo call out cards and call out sheet to check your students’ cards. If the student who calls
out Bingo has the correct covered pieces, then they win. Your students will clear their cards, and you can
play again.
TIP: When I play this game in my classroom, I make my students solve each addition sentence BEFORE we
play. You can allow them to solve the problems during the game, but the game might go a bit more slowly.
It is 100% your choice!

1. Print the blank Bingo card on page 4.
2. Print page 5 and let the students choose and cut out 24 pieces for their Bingo card
(There are 30 pieces total).
3. Optional Step: I allow my students to write the sums (answers) on each card but
you may want your students to solve the problems mentally or to work the problems
as you call them out.
4. Have the students paste their 24 pieces in any order on their Bingo cards.
5. Print page 6 to keep track of the sums as you call them out.
6. Print and cut out the call-out cards on page 7 and put them in a small cup or
container. As you call out the sums, place the cards on the call out sheet from page 6.
7. Once everything is prepped, you’re ready to play Bingo!
