Summarize 13
Structuring your
answer Some people think fast food is unhealthy and
should be banned. Do you agree?
Answer the
question
Well, I agree to some extent
Reason because I think there is far too much sugar in food today.

Example For example, some fizzy drinks have over 40 teaspoons of

sugar in just one can!

Alternative But on the other hand, I think people should be free to eat
what they like, even if it’s really unhealthy.

Summarize So overall, yes, I think fast food is unhealthy, but I don’t think it
should be banned.
14
Structuring your
answer Why do people go to different types
of restaurant?
Answer the
question
Well, I’d say that it depends on the occasion.

Reason because people go to certain types of restaurant for different

reasons.

Example For instance, if you are celebrating a special occasion like a birthday
or anniversary, you might go to a more formal restaurant.

Alternative However, if someone just wants to grab a bite to eat, they might go
to a fast food place, as it’s more convenient.
Summarize So basically, I think the choice of restaurant depends on the person
and what their situation is. 15
