Duties & Responsibilities

➢ Preparation and qualification of welding procedures (AWS D1.1, ASME Sec. IX).
➢ Carrying out welder performance qualification as per AWS D1.1 for structure steel and
for piping as per ASME Sec. IX.

Duties & Responsibilities

➢ Preparation and qualification of welding procedures ASME Sec. IX.
➢ Carrying out welder performance qualification.
➢ Carrying out fit-up inspections, pre-welding/during Welding/after welding
inspections, visual inspection of welds, dimensional Inspection etc.
➢ Supervision and Witness of various NDT, Heat treatment activities.
➢ Carrying out Hardness & PMI Testing of piping welds.

4)Kumar Quality Engineering Industries, (Aug 2012 - Oct 2013)

Duties & Responsibilities

➢ Inspecting work in progress for conformance with the latest approved revisions of
drawings and specifications and verifying that finished work meets acceptance
criteria.
 ➢ Monitoring shop floor fabrication ensuring that production activities are in accordance
with project specification thereby preventing non – conformance in process materials,
during cutting, fit-ups, welding, NDT, inspection and testing, painting and erection.

➢ Ensuring Fit-ups are correctly made as per WPS and randomly checking that Internal
Release Note Information is correctly filled by the shop foreman for proper
tractability information from nesting and part material list.
➢ Completing NDT operations such as Radiographic Testing, Ultrasonic Testing – Flaw
detection, corrosion mapping, thickness gauging, Penetrant Testing, Magnetic particle
testing, Hardness Testing, Positive Material Identification, Welders Performance Test,
Welding Procedure Testing and Heat treatment.
➢ Inspection of Structures Wind mill tower shells, Boiler components such as Coils,
Panels, Headers, Pipes, Fittings, Flanges, Gaskets, Valves, Stud Bolts at Stockiest end
as per respective materials specifications, Codes, Standards & Client’s Specifications.
