NARRATIVE REPORT ON
123RD FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY
OF THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION

With the theme “Bayanihan Para sa Edukasyon”, Kauswagan Central

Elementary School took part in the celebration of the Department of Education 123 rd
Founding Anniversary on Wednesday , June 23, 2021.

In adherence to the DepEd Memorandum no. 031, s. 2021 and pursuant to

Administrative Order No. 322, s. 1997 that recognizes every 23 rd of June as the
foundation day of the Department , the agency enjoined schools and offices to take
part in the activities related to the celebration.

To promote public awareness of the event, the official streamer was hanged
at the façade of the school where it’s best visible to everyone. Teachers were also
encouraged to wear blue shirt on the said date in support of the celebration. KCES
teaching and non-teaching personnel ensured that they were in full support to Deped
as seen in the group pictures of teachers. Moreover, teachers changed their
facebook profile background to the 123rd Founding Anniversary Official Logo.

Furthermore, teachers also joined the VIRTUAL CEREMONY of the

DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION , REGION 10 via facebook Live Streaming in the
afternoon. During the virtual ceremony, words of appreciation and encouragement
were heartily given by the Secretary of Education, Sec. Leonor Magtolis Briones. She
congratulated the teaching and non-teaching personnel of the Department for the
dedication and commitment amidst the COVID-19 pandemic that we have today. She
also stressed the importance of “Bayanihan”, among the parents, pupils, teachers
and stakeholders in delivering and providing the basic education during this
pandemic.

Dr. Arturo B. Bayocot, CESO III, regional Director of DepEd Region X, also
delivered a message to everyone wherein he encouraged everyone to overcome all
the challenges and to set aside biases and indifferences , and to support our leaders
in the continuing delivery of basic education to every Filipino.
