INTRODUCTION

Farmers are faced with issues impacting agriculture, including new challenges and
opportunities every day -- from feeding an expanding global population while
meeting strict new emissions requirements, to producing more food on fewer
acres while minimizing their environmental footprint.

This has led to depletion and exhaustion of soils resulting in their low
productivity. The average yields of almost all the crops are among t e lowest in
the world. This is a serious problem which can be solved by using more manures
and fertilizers.

we can say that the chronic poverty, illiteracy, lack of mechanisation,

scarcity of HYV inputs, lack of capital formation, flood and drought, poor
agricultural marketing facilities, lack of knowledge about demandable crops or
more appropriately the absence of commercialization

Farmers have great importance in our society. They are the ones who provide us
food to eat. Since every person needs proper food for their living, so they are a
necessity in society. ... Moreover, farmers who grow these crops are of prime
importance.

FACTORS EFFECTING FARMERS :

Farm production poses a number of challenges for farmers around the world. Food
production requires adjustments to rapid population growth, the expenditure of resources,
soil degradation, reduced utilization of land and a growing lack of water.
• ECONOMIC FACTORS AFFECTING FARMERS
Farming is an old practice, but its modern forms are affected by
various distinct economic factors. The farming environment today is
economically complex and competitive. It allows farmers worldwide to
choose what to grow from what’s produced globally. On the other
hand, governments offer financial incentives to farmers on specific
types of crops
Most farmers in America are affected by the weather and economic
factors. However, some are independent and thus able to develop
markets through innovative strategies and direct sales. Subsidies,
commodity prices and immigration laws and labor are the major
economic factors affecting farming.

• CLIMATIC FACTORS EFFECTING FARMERS

Climatic factors such as light, water and rainfall, temperature, air,
relative humidity and wind also affect farming in various ways. Just like
other abiotic elements of environmental factors such as soil and
topography, they influence how crops grow and develop.

• Water and rainfall
• Temperature
• Air
• Relative Humidity
• Wind

• PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

Various factors in the natural environment affect farming. Topography,
soil and climate are the major physical factors affecting farming.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:

The present study aims to study the problems faced by farmers in telangana state
of Indian. It studies how to tackle the problems faced by farmers and also studies
what are the main factors tha are contributing to it and the preventive measures
to be taken.

CONCEPT IN THE STUDY:

The concept in the present study is "Problems faced by farmers in telangana it
factors and preventive measures”.

Problems faced by the farmers is the main reason for decreasing of crop
production in Telangana. Thus, this study speaks about the problems of the
farmers and the preventive measures to increase agricultural sector and crop
production as well
REVIEW OF LITERATURE:
• A few decades ago, the agriculture sector added 75% to India’s GDP, which
has reduced to 14% (the current). However, India was the second-largest
producer ($ 367 billion) after China ($ 1,005 billion) among four more
countries that held 42% of the global agricultural output – $ 4,771 billion,
According to the World Factbook 2014 of the CIA.

• Direct marketing is the strategy of one to one relationship of farmers and
consumer. This paper discusses some basic components and challenges in
direct selling. The analysis of challenges faced by the farmer's direct
marketing will be convenient to take measures for the improvement of
direct marketing.
- Aarthi Dakshana JD
• The study conducted among various vegetable marketers of 61 farmers
who were involved in direct marketing. The challenging factors were
statistically evaluated. The research findings revealed that farmers are lack
in cold storage and facing heavy competition in direct selling.
- Rajendran Kolanda
• The Indian agriculture is being plagued by several problems, directly and
indirectly, affect the life of a farmer. Indian farming practices and other
activities of agriculture consume time as well as the efforts of a farmer.
The problems faced by Indian farmers go unnoticed in the entire process
of extracting food and harvesting crops.
- Pankaj Raj
• The major problem responsible for low agriculture productivity is that
the soil is contaminated by the increasing level of river and canal
pollution which is mainly caused by high industrial effluents and toxic
metas day by day. Soil erosion which is one of the significant causes of
land degradation.
- S.K.Goyal
• The critical issues that plague Indian agriculture at present are the
knowledge deficit and infrastructure deficit, especially in the rural
areas. Problems related to irrigation infrastructure, market
infrastructure and transport infrastructure add significant cost to
farmers' operations.
- Shree Ram Singh
• India, though one of the biggest producers of agricultural products, has
very low farm productivity, with the average only 33 percent of the best
farms world over. This needs to be increased so that farmers can get
more remuneration from the same piece of land with less labour.
- Dr.J.P.Raj
• It is an accepted fact that importing food cannot solve the problem of food
shortage. “Modern technologies do offer vast prospects for crop improvement,
but that alone need not make it popular among small and marginal farmers,”
- M.J.Prabhu

IMPORTANCE OF THE STUDY:

The present study is about The Problems faced by farmers and Preventive
measures in Telangana owns its importance in finding out the various factors that
are contributing to Problems faced by farmers as well as the particular preventive
measures to control the problems of farmers. By formulating the factors and
measures we can analyse the area of more Problems faced by farmes and we can
use the necessary measures according to the problem. There are certain factors
which can be prevented externally in order to create an environment of high
agricultural production state.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY:

• To study the factors contributing to Problems of Farmers

• To understand the several issues faced by farmers.

• To list out the Economiacl,Climatical ,Environmental problems.

• To find out the appropriate preventive measures based on thefactors.

• To highlight the role of main causes for sucide.

• To understand the role of central and state agricultural sector in farming.

• To understand the Preventive measures according to farmers problems.

• To understand the agricultural role in daily life.

AREA OF STUDY:
The area of the study of the present study is Telangana. It is on of the state in
india. It is highly developed and urbanized as well as contains vast amount of
agricultural land. It is an important state all essentials and unessentials are
found. In the state there is large amount of agricultural land.
Telangana is a place where different types of crops are cultivate and high
amount of pulses are grown

Most of the farmers in telangana state are un educated so there is a little bit
chance of advanced technology usage.

A large number of sucides occurring in the state due to the lac of education and
the lac of technology. According to the report 491 farmers in the state died by
sucide in 2019 of whom 373 we're farmers cultivating their own lands and 118
were those cultivating leased lands.

SAMPLING METHOD:
The sampling method of the present study is “Accidental sampling” in “Non-
probability”
sampling method.

NON-PROBABILTY SAMPLING: Non-probability sampling method is defined as a

sampling technique in which the researcher selects samples based on the
subjective judgement rather than random selection. It is a less stringent
method. It is carried out byby observation and researches use it widely for
qualitative research.

Non-probability sampling is a sampling method in whichnot all the members of

the population have an equal chance of participating in the study. Non-
probability sampling is most useful for exploratory studies like pilotsurvey.

ACCIDENTAL SAMPLING: An Accidental sampling is a type of non probability

sampling method where the sample is taken from a group of people easy to
contact or reach. This type of sampling is also known as grab sampling or
availability sampling. There are no other criteria to the sampling method except
that people be available and willing to participate.

SAMPLING SIZE:
Sampling size is the number of people from whom we will be

collecting data. The sample size of the present study is 30.

METHOD OF DATA COLLECTION:

The method of data collection of the present study is “INTERVIEW SCHEDULE
METHOD”.
INTERVIEW SCHEDULE METHOD: An Interview schedule method is basically a set
of structured questions that have been prepared, researchers and investigators
in collecting information or data about a specific topic or issue. The schedule will
be used by the interviewer, who will fill in the questions with the answers record
during the actual interview.

An interview schedule facilitates the conduct of an interview.

It increases the likelihood of collecting accurate

information or data. It allows interviewers and

researchers to get more information.

The rate and responses are high in this method.

There are two types of interview schedule methods 1. In depth interview schedule

2. Structured interview
schedule
