I make images focused on the power of symbols. These images live between metaphysical conceptions
and daily life elements, synthetizing my social experiences related to self realization. Humor is a vital
condiment with which I seek to generate complicities with my ideal interlocutors. At this time, I devote
myself to the study of traditional esoteric traditions and crafts.
I consider my artistic practice a way of knowing oneself and the world, reinventing it. The exploration of
the symbolic possibilities of the image is a constant subject in my work.

Inner Journey of the Symbol

My objective is to produce a group of works that update and problematize Joaquin Torres
Garcia´s Universal Constructivism doctrine. I identify myself with the concern of this
Uruguayan avant garde artist on gathering the modern art achievements and traditional art
knowledge, in order to produce a form of art that reflects universal principles and quotidian
life.
Developing symbolic thought through art practice is a way of enriching the experience of the
real, for both the author and the viewer. As the real may also be considered a symbolic
expression of metaphysical truth, the intuition is the center of the action of knowing,
leaving rationalization in a secondary plane.

Even though the nature of symbolic significance is undefined and polymorphic, this

does not mean its unlimited, conventional or casual. The production and reading of
symbolic images should be considered as an open language based on analogy laws.

Motivated by my interest in discovering the non rational communication capabilities of art,

my project consists in deepen on the symbolic aspects of the image through research and
production during the residence period.

stage I: environmental exploration

stage II: symbolic and bibliographical corpus collecting
stage II: imagery production
