Vietnam’s rapid urbanisation is driving
the need for innovative and sustainable
solutions due to the increasing challenges
posed by economic development, climate
change, and population growth.
From the tallest tower to the deepest
basement in Ho Chi Minh City, Arup
delivered some of Vietnam’s most iconic
projects. Arup has also participated in
building resilience in major cities, and
continues to offer sustainable
masterplans, resilient solutions, as well
as total design and engineering for
various developments.
With a transport network under increasing
stress, Vietnam is embarking on a massive
investment programme to develop urban
transit systems, intercity high-speed
highways, a North-South expressway and
a significant increase in its capacity to
handle air passengers and freight traffic.
Arup is playing a key role in the
development of Vietnam’s transport
infrastructure bringing decades of urban
transit system experience, long- span
bridge design, sustainable highway
planning and aviation master planning
expertise to bear.
Arup has been working in Vietnam since the 1980s, and in 2008 we established a
local operation in Ho Chi Minh City. Our knowledge of global standards and local
regulations and codes ensures the quality and smooth delivery of projects.
We have a track record of excellence in private and public sectors in the country.
Our portfolio includes the country’s tallest building Landmark 81, the iconic
National Convention Centre in Hanoi and the Van Don Integrated Resort located
in Quang Ninh. We also advised the government of Ninh Thuan Province to
develop a strategic masterplan for the province’s sustainable development.
