COMMITTEE REPORT

"REQUEST FOR AN SP RESOLUTION INTERPOSING NO OBJECTION TO OPERATE PAGCOR-

ACCREDITED ELECTRONIC GAMES STATIONS AND FOR TRADITIONAL BINGO AND E-BINGO
BOUTIQUE OF MAXI- GAMING CORP AND LUCKY BEE ELECTRONIC GAMES, INC."

The Committee on Ways and Means chaired by Hon. AL Victor Espino called for a
Committee Conference to inquire on the requirements submitted and by the applicants, MAXI-
GAMING CORP and Lucky Bee Electronic Games, Inc., for the renewal of their Mayor's Permit.
The applicant, Maxi-Gaming, Inc., is a new applicant with its business to be located at 2nd Floor
Azotea Building, Lacson Street, Mandalagan, Bacolod City. The other applicant, Lucky Bee
Electronic Games, is an application for renewal of two branches, one is located at 888 Chinatown
Square Mall, and Plaza Mart Bacolod.

The applicant, MAXI-GAMING CORP was represented by Ms. Mary Jane Segovia and Mr.
Benjamin J. Sazon, and Lucky Bee Inc., was not able to send any representative during the
Committee Conference despite Notice. The applicant (Ma xi-Gaming Corp) started discussing
their intention for the application of a Resolution of No Objection. They noted that this SP
resolution is needed for the issuance of their Mayor's Permit. They noted that they have been
operating this kind of business in the City of Bacolod for more than five (5) years already.

Consequently, Councilor Espino questioned them, on whether or not they are in

compliance with the limitations imposed by law with regard to the operation of electronic games,
such as, it must be located fifty (50) meters away from schools and churches. The applicants
submits that there location is fifty (SO) meters away from schools and churches. Also, Councilor
Espino, requested them to submit to this representation an Affidavit of Undertaking stating that
they comply with all the requirements set forth under PAGCOR Manual on operating an Online
Gaming Business.

Moreover, Councilor Espino also asked if they were also able to comply with the
documentary requirements imposed by other offices or agencies, and they replied in the positive.
They said that this is the last requirement they needed for them to process their Mayor' s Permit.
 As the City of Bacolod is still experiencing the effects of the pandemic, Councilor Espino
reminded them that they should comply with the health protocols implemented not only by the
City's IATF, but also of the National IATF. Also, the applicants said that they pay the applicable
fees, charges and taxes due to them.

There being no matters to discuss in the hearing. Councilor Espino dismisses the same.

RECOMMENDATION/SUGGESTIONS

Comply with all the limitations imposed by law and ordinances;

Follow the health protocols imposed by the City's IATF and the National IATF;
Comply all the necessary documentary requirements required by different
government offices and agencies; and
To issue a Resolution Interposing No Objection to PAGCOR- accredited electronic
games.
