needy people during this period of time.

Name Swachh Bharat Mission
Description Subject:
of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Launched the ambitious 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' (Clean
activity India Mission) 2nd October 2014. The 'Abhiyan' was launched on the occasion of Mahatma
Gandhi's 145th birth anniversary. It is a country-wide campaign to eliminate open defecation
and improve solid waste management.
Content: The campaign was held from 4th of March to 10th of March. Awareness about the disposal of the solid
waste was created among the people in the nearby locality and they were told the segregation of waste into dry
and wet waste. Around 3 apartments were covered on the first 3 days i.e., from 4th to 6th March. Then we went
to the nearby shops and houses from 7th to 10th of March.

Outcome Citizens got aware and assured that they’ll follow the rules, maintain hygiene and follow the guidelines of
waste disposal. Agreed to keep wet and dry waste separate and agreed to the benefits of doing so.

On 13th, we cleaned a park nearby.

Content: The campaign was held from 18th of March to 24th of March. The objective of the study was to
evaluate the effectiveness of outreach programs on personal development, and civic responsibilities of dental
students and also to assess the changes in the domain scores within and between genders postintervention.
