PERSONAL PRONOUNS: These pronouns take the place of the main subject of the
sentence. The main subject can be people, animals or things.
POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES: These express ownership. They are always before a noun.
COMPLEMENT PRONOUNS: These take the place of people, animals or things in the
complement of the sentence.
EXERCISE

I.- Circle the correct pronoun in parenthesis.


1. I often see (they – them) on the bus.
2. Susan lives near (we – us).
3. (I – Me) always walk to the office.
4. My sister lives in Pto. Ordaz. I write a letter to (she – her) once a month.
5. Mike always gets good grades. (He – Him) is a very good student.
6. Paula doesn’t speak to Mike. (She – her) never sits near (he – him).
7. (We – Us) listen to the teacher carefully.
8. Those magazines belong to (I – me).
II.- Substitute the word or words in italics with the correct pronoun.

1. I sit near Grace and Frank in my English class.

3. Felix always waits for Cecilia and me after class.

4. Matt doesn’t always understand the teacher.

5. Sarah takes the dog to the park on Sunday.
