Knowledge Recognize and identify the different common injuries that may happen during a festival dancing

Introductory The teacher will show different pictures of emergency situations. Then the teacher will ask:
Activity 1. Have you experienced or encountered an emergency situation like accident in vehicle,at home or

The teacher will now introduce First Aid


Activity Fix Me I’m Broken
15minutes Students will be gouped into 2.
Assign a leader for each group.
Label yourself and your partner as A and B, A being the victim or injured official and B being the first
aider.
Assemble columns, 1 for the As and another for the Bs per group and bring with you your first aid
kits.
The teacher blows the whistle,all As shall pretend to be injured, it is a discretion as to what injury will
be portrayed.The next whistle signals the Bs to employ appropriate first aid techniques to their
partners who are pretending to be injuredd. The last whistle signals to stop. (Example:
sprain,strain,dislocation and fracture)
Analysis The students will now explain their work by pair.

Abstraction To unlock difficulties and misconceptions students are encouraged to read the readings on first aid
10 minutes being presented in a Slide show presentation.
Short lecture will follow on sprain, strain, dislocation and fracture
Application Demonstration and return demonstration of the following:
10minutes 1. sprain
2.strain
3. dislocation
4. fracture
Assessment Ask; (to be answered individually but to be shared within the group)
7 minutes 1. Injuries may happen anytime, anywhere, list at least 3 factors that can cause injuries and explain
why they can lead to injuries?
2. How important is knowledge and skills in applying appropriate first aid techniques to an injured
officiating official or athlete?
Assignment Be prepared to share your answer by group next meeting.

Activity Close the period by wrapping – up the day’s lesson with a quotation.
