“5” Chord Color Notes

! Below is the A minor blues scale form 1. The red and green dots denote the E7
chord that could be played at the 5th fret. For the sake of outlining the chord I have put
both the 5th and the 7th of the chord on the G (3rd string). Of course in practice you
would play the 7th (which is the red dot). As before, the red dots represent notes that
are already in the blues scale while the green dots are new notes introduced by the E7
chord. These are the color notes that should be introduced when the “5” chord is
played. The green dots represents the major 3rd and 5th of the 5 chord. !
