I am proud of this new version of the IFS Food Standard. We have made
it more concise, efficient and simpler to work with. I thank our stakehold-
ers, the Extended Core Group, our national working groups, International
Technical Committee and the IFS Board for their valuable input and
contributions.

IFS  –  International Featured Standards is pleased to announce the publication of the new IFS Food Version 7. IFS Food
is a worldwide acknowledged standard for assessing food manufacturers with a strong focus on food safety and the
quality of processes and products.

The new version of this standard gives more clarity about what we expect from auditors when they perform an IFS
Assessment. The requirements now have a more prescriptive nature, and the new structure makes it easier to work
with the standard. We have put more emphasis on the on-site evaluation and less on documentation. The assessment
checklist has been aligned with the GFSI Benchmarking Requirements version 2020.1, FSMA, and EU regulations.

IFS Food Version 7 at a glance
These are the most relevant changes:
>> Increased focus on the on-site assessment, less on
documentation
>> New wording: the audit becomes an assessment, to
highlight the product and process approach of IFS in
keeping with ISO/IEC 17065.
>> 15 % less requirements
>> Improved structure of the certification protocol tai-
lored to the IFS stakeholders’ needs

Essential information for certified companies
to prepare for IFS Food version 7
Timelines
IFS Food version 7 assessments can be performed from
1st March 2021. The implementation will become manda-
tory for all certified companies as of 1st July 2021.
In some cases, exceptions have to be made. Here is an
overview of exceptional situations:
>> Assessment of multi-location companies with central
management where the assessment of the central
managing site is performed before 1st March 2021.
All efforts shall be made that the assessment of the
central managing site is performed after 1st March
2021 according to IFS Food version 7. In case this is
not possible, justification shall be provided to IFS by
the responsible certification body.
>> Follow-up assessment when the connected “main”
assessment took place before 1st July 2021 (and was
performed according to V 6.1)
>> Extension assessment when the associated “main”
assessment took place before 1st July 2021 (and was
performed according to V 6.1)
The general admission of the aforementioned exception-
al situations, which permit the use of IFS Food version
6.1 after 1st July 2021, will terminate on 30 th June 2022.
If the assessment window for unannounced IFS Assess-
ments starts on 1st May 2021, then the assessment shall
be made according to IFS Food version 7. As of January
2021, at least every third IFS Certification assessment
shall be unannounced. It is your certification body’s
responsibility to make sure this rule is fulfilled.
Free online seminar about main
changes in IFS Food version 7
The IFS Academy will provide a free online seminar for
certified companies. Our Head of Standard Management,
Chryssa Dimitriadis, will explain the main changes to
the standard. The seminar will be held in English and is
scheduled on 21st October, 10:00-12:00 am CET.
More information about registration and content will be
available soon in a separate newsletter. For technical rea-
sons we have to limit the number of participants but you
can watch the recordings afterwards.

To be well prepared for version 7, IFS offers these training
options:
>> Book a course at one of our regional IFS Training
Centres. We have provided them with our official
training materials. Please go to our website to find
an official IFS Training Centre near you.
>> Book our IFS Food version 7 e-learning course directly
at the IFS Academy. This online module will cost
€150. It will be available in English from mid-October.
Modules in German, French and Italian will follow
later. We will keep you informed about the availability
in our newsletters. You can buy this course in the
IFS webshop.

Accreditation and Benchmarking
IFS has published version 7 of the IFS Food Standard
following positive feedback received by the German
accreditation body DAkkS. The evaluation report from
DAkkS will be shared with the European co-operation for
Accreditation (EA).
We will apply for GFSI recognition according to the GFSI
Benchmarking Requirements Version 2020.1.
Mandatory GS1
Global Location Numbers (GLN)
A new feature of the IFS Food version 7 is the GLN that
will appear on the IFS Certificate and the first page of the
IFS Assessment Report. The GLN is only mandatory for
companies in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the
United Kingdom (UK) when it leaves the EEA in January
2021. The GLN simplifies the communication between
suppliers and retailers as most retailers in the aforemen-
tioned areas work with it in their merchandise manage-
ment systems. The GLN also optimises the security and
verifiability of the IFS Certificates.
The auditor will check the validity of the GLN during
the IFS Assessment, either by querying it online in the
GEPIR database or by checking the confirmation of the
order or invoice that the company received from GS1. For
certified companies in the EEA and UK, the auditor has to
fill in the compulsory GLN field in the assessment report.
Otherwise, the certification body cannot issue the IFS
Certificate.
For this purpose, IFS co-operates with GS1 Germany
GmbH. Companies that require this number can inform
themselves via this website.
As of January 2021, it will also be possible to order the
GLN from this website. Please note that a company has to
have a valid GLN when the first IFS Food V7 Assessment
takes place. The latest possible date to order one is the
date of the assessment.
New Scoring System
In IFS Food Standard version 7, we have made adjust-
ments to the scoring system. There is a new definition of
the B scoring, and we have introduced corrections.
Our new brochure “IFS Food Standard Version 7 Scoring
System – Driving continuous improvement” explains it
in detail. It is available in English, French, German, Italian
and Spanish and can be downloaded from our website.
Food Safety Culture
Food safety culture is addressed throughout the IFS Food
Standard and is now explicitly included in two version
7 requirements, following the addition of it in the GFSI
Benchmarking Requirements Version 2020.1. You can
find more information in our “Food Safety Culture” fact
sheet. It is available on our website in English, French,
German, Italian and Spanish.
To learn more, IFS also offers an online module “Product
and Food Safety Culture”. It will provide you with guide-
lines and a valuable insight into the topic. This module
will shortly be available in English in our webshop. The
fee will be 100 €. We will inform you as soon as the course
is available.

by the auditors. We expect these tools to be “Version 7
ready” in March 2021 at the latest. The new version of the
software will be free of charge.

You can download the basic version of the IFS App free
of charge from Google Play and the Apple App Store.

IFS – International Featured Standards freut sich, die Veröffentlichung der neuen IFS Food Version 7 bekannt zu
geben. Der IFS Food ist ein weltweit anerkannter Standard zur Bewertung von Lebensmittelherstellern hinsichtlich
der Lebensmittelsicherheit sowie der Qualität der Verfahren und Produkte.

Die neue Version dieses Standards gibt mehr Klarheit darüber, was wir von Auditoren erwarten, wenn sie ein IFS
Assessment durchführen. Die Anforderungen haben jetzt einen präskriptiven Charakter, und die neue Struktur
macht es einfacher, mit dem Standard zu arbeiten. Der Fokus ist stärker auf die Bewertung vor Ort und weniger auf
die Dokumentation gerichtet. Zudem freuen wir uns, mitteilen zu können, dass die Assessmentcheckliste an die
GFSI Benchmarkanforderungen Version 2020.1, FSMA und EU-Vorschriften angepasst wurde und wir diese bei der
Erstellung berücksichtigt haben.

Wichtige Informationen für zertifizierte Unternehmen
zur Vorbereitung auf IFS Food Version 7
Zeitlicher Rahmen
Assessments nach IFS Food Version 7 können ab dem
1. März 2021 durchgeführt werden. Die Umsetzung wird
ab dem 1. Juli 2021 für alle zertifizierten Unternehmen
verbindlich.
In einigen Fällen gibt es Ausnahmen:
>> Assessments von Unternehmen mit mehreren
Standorten und einer zentralen Leitung, bei denen
das Assessment der Zentrale vor dem 1. März 2021
durchgeführt wird. Es sind alle Anstrengungen zu
unternehmen, dass das Assessment des zentralen
Leitungsstandortes nach dem 1. März 2021 gemäß
IFS Food Version 7 durchgeführt wird. Falls dies nicht
möglich ist, muss die zuständige Zertifizierungsstelle
dem IFS eine Begründung zur Verfügung stellen.
>> Erweiterungs- und Ergänzungsaudits, wenn das
zugrundeliegende Hauptassessment vor dem 1. Juli
2021 stattfand (und gemäß V6.1 durchgeführt wurde)
>> Verlängerungsbeurteilung, wenn die zugrundelie-
gende Hauptassessment vor dem 1. Juli 2021 statt-
fand (und gemäß V6.1 durchgeführt wurde)
Die generelle Zulassung der oben genannten Ausna-
hmefälle, die die Anwendung des IFS Food Version 6.1
nach dem 1. Juli 2021 erlauben, endet am 30. Juni 2022.
Beginnt das Bewertungsfenster für unangekündigte
IFS Assessments am 1. Mai 2021, dann erfolgt das
Assessment nach IFS Food Version 7. Ab Januar 2021
muss mindestens jede dritte IFS Zertifizierungsbewer-
tung unangekündigt erfolgen. Es liegt in der Verantwor-
tung Ihrer Zertifizierungsstelle, sicherzustellen, dass
diese Regel erfüllt wird.
Kostenloses Onlineseminar
über die wichtigsten Änderungen
in IFS Food Version 7
Die IFS Academy wird ein kostenloses Onlineseminar
für zertifizierte Unternehmen anbieten. Unsere Leiterin
des Standardmanagements, Chryssa Dimitriadis, wird
die wichtigsten Änderungen am Standard erläutern. Das
Seminar findet am 21. Oktober von 10:00-12:00 Uhr MEZ
in englischer Sprache statt.
Weitere Informationen zur Registrierung und zum In-
halt werden demnächst in einem separaten Newsletter
folgen. Wir bitten Sie um Verständnis, dass wir aus tech-
nischen Gründen die Teilnehmerzahl begrenzen müssen.

Akkreditierung und Benchmarking
Der IFS hat die Version 7 des IFS Food Standards nach
positivem Feedback der Deutschen Akkreditierungsstelle
DAkkS veröffentlicht. Der Evaluierungsbericht der DAkkS
wird an die European co-operation for Accreditation (EA)
weitergeleitet.
Wir werden zudem die GFSI-Anerkennung gemäß den
GFSI-Benchmarkanforderungen Version 2020.1 bean-
tragen.
Verpflichtende GS1 Global
Location Numbers (GLN)
Ein weiteres Merkmal der IFS Food Version 7 ist die GLN,
die auf dem IFS Zertifikat und der ersten Seite des IFS
Assessmentreports erscheinen wird. Die GLN ist nur für
Unternehmen im Europäischen Wirtschaftsraum (EWR)
und im Vereinigten Königreich (UK) verpflichtend, wenn
es den EWR im Januar 2021 verlässt. Die GLN vereinfa-
cht die Kommunikation zwischen Lieferanten und Ein-
zelhändlern, da die meisten Einzelhändler in den oben
genannten Bereichen in ihren Warenwirtschaftssyste-
men mit der GLN arbeiten. Die GLN optimiert auch die
Sicherheit und Überprüfbarkeit der IFS Zertifikate.
Der Auditor wird die Gültigkeit der GLN während
des IFS Assessments überprüfen, entweder durch eine
Online-Abfrage in der GEPIR-Datenbank oder durch Über-
prüfung der Auftragsbestätigung bzw. der Rechnung,
die das Unternehmen von GS1 erhalten hat. Andernfalls
kann die Zertifizierungsstelle das IFS Zertifikat nicht auss-
tellen.
Zu diesem Zweck arbeitet IFS mit GS1 Germany GmbH
zusammen. Unternehmen, die diese Nummer benötigen,
können sich über diese Website informieren.
Ab Februar 2021 wird es auch möglich sein, die GLN
über diese Website zu bestellen. Bitte beachten Sie, dass
ein Unternehmen eine gültige GLN haben muss, wenn
das erste IFS Food Version 7 Assessment stattfindet. Das
spätmöglichste Datum für die Bestellung ist daher das
Datum des Assessments.
Neues Bewertungssystem
In IFS Food Standard Version 7 haben wir Anpassungen
am Bewertungssystem vorgenommen. Es gibt eine neue
Definition der B-Bewertung, und wir haben Korrekturen
vorgenommen.

Food Safety Culture
Die Lebensmittelsicherheitskultur wird im gesamten IFS
Food Standard berücksichtigt und ist nun explizit in zwei
Anforderungen der Version 7 enthalten, nachdem sie in
den GFSI Benchmarking Requirements Version 2020.1
hinzugefügt wurde. Weitere Informationen finden Sie in

L’IFS – International Featured Standards a le plaisir d’annoncer la publication de la nouvelle version 7 de l‘IFS Food.
L’IFS Food est un référentiel mondialement reconnu permettant d’évaluer les fournisseurs de produits alimentaires,
sur la base d’une approche commune de sécurité des aliments et qualité des procédés et des produits.

La nouvelle version de ce référentiel fournit plus de de clarté sur les attentes des auditeurs quand ils effectuent une
évaluation IFS. Les exigences ont désormais un caractère plus normatif, et la nouvelle structure facilite le travail
avec le référentiel. Nous avons mis l‘accent sur l’évaluation sur site et moins sur la documentation. La check-list
de l’évaluation a integré les éléments des exigences Benchmarking de la GFSI version 2020.1, le FSMA et les régle-
ments de l‘UE.

Voici les modifications principales :

>> Les nouvelles définitions de la sous-traitance clarifient
les différentes modalités de management

>> Des outils supplémentaires sont mis en place afin

Informations essentielles pour les entreprises certifiées
afin de préparer l’IFS Food version 7
Délais
Il sera possible de réaliser des évaluations IFS Food v7
à partir du 1er mars 2021. A partir du 1er juillet 2021,
l’IFS Food v7 sera obligatoire pour toutes les entreprises
certifiées.
Dans certains cas, des exceptions doivent être effectuées.
Voici les situations exceptionnelles :
>> Évaluation des sociétés multi-sites avec un siège
lorsque l’évaluation du siège est effectuée avant le
1er mars 2021. Tous les efforts doivent être faits pour
que l’évaluation du siège soit effectuée après le 1er
mars 2021 selon l’IFS Food version 7. Si cela n’est pas
possible, une justification doit être fournie à l’IFS par
l’organisme de certification responsable.
>> Évaluation complémentaire lorsque l’évaluation
« principale » a eu lieu avant le 1er juillet 2021 (et a
été effectuée conformément au référentiel V6.1)
>> Évaluation d’extension lorsque l’évaluation « prin-
cipale » a eu lieu avant le 1er juillet 2021 (et a été
effectuée conformément au référentiel V6.1)
L’admission générale des situations exceptionnelles sus-
mentionnées, qui permettent l’utilisation de l’IFS Food
version 6.1 après le 1er juillet 2021, prendra fin le 30 juin
2022.
Si la fenêtre d’évaluation pour les évaluations IFS non
annoncées commence le 1er mai 2021, alors l’évalua-
tion doit être faite selon l’IFS Food version 7. A partir de
janvier 2021, au moins une évaluation de certification IFS
sur trois sera inopinée. Il est de la responsabilité de votre
organisme de certification de s’assurer que cette règle
est respectée.
Séminaire en ligne gratuit sur
les principales modfications de la
version 7 de l’IFS Food
L’IFS Academy fournira un séminaire en ligne gratuit
pour les sociétés certifiées. La responsable du référentiel
IFS Food, Chryssa Dimitriadis, expliquera les principales
modifications effectuées pour cette version 7 du référen-
tiel. Le séminaire se déroulera en anglais et est prévu le

L’IFS FOOD VERSION 7
Accréditation et Benchmarking
L’IFS a publié la version 7 du référentiel IFS Food suite
aux retours positifs reçus par l’organisme d’accréditation
allemand DAkkS. Le rapport d’évaluation du DAkkS sera
partagé avec la coopération européenne pour l’accrédi-
tation (EA).
Nous demanderons la reconnaissance de la GFSI confor-
mément aux exigences de Benchmarking de la GFSI Ver-
sion 2020.1.
Numéro GLN (Global Location
Number) obligatoire de GS1
Une nouvelle caractéristique de la version 7 de l’IFS Food
est le GLN qui apparaîtra sur le certificat IFS et sur la pre-
mière page du rapport d’évaluation IFS. Le GLN n’est obli-
gatoire que pour les sociétés de l’Espace économique
européen (EEE) et du Royaume-Uni lorsqu’il quitte l’EEE
en janvier 2021. Le GLN simplifie la communication entre
les fournisseurs et les distributeurs car la plupart des dis-
tributeurs des zones susmentionnées travaillent avec le
GLN dans leurs systèmes de gestion des marchandises.
Le GLN optimise également la sécurité et la vérifiabilité
des certificats IFS.
L’auditeur vérifiera la validité du GLN lors de l’évaluation
IFS, soit en ligne sur la base de données GEPIR, soit avec la
confirmation de la commande ou de la facture que la so-
ciété a reçue de la part de GS1. Pour les sociétés certifiées
dans l’EEE et au Royaume-Uni, l’auditeur doit remplir le
champ obligatoire du GLN dans le rapport d’évaluation.
Dans le cas contraire, l’organisme de certification ne
pourra pas délivrer le certificat IFS.
C’est pour cela que l’IFS coopère avec GS1 Germany
GmbH. Les sociétés qui ont besoin de ce numéro peuvent
s’informer via ce site web.
À partir de février 2021, il sera également possible de
commander le GLN depuis ce site web. Veuillez noter
qu’une société doit disposer d’un GLN valide lors de la
première évaluation IFS Food V7. La dernière date pos-
sible pour en commander est la date de l’évaluation.
Nouveau système de notation
Dans la version 7 du référentiel IFS Food , nous avons ap-
porté des ajustements au système de notation. Il y a une
nouvelle définition de la notation B, et nous avons intro-
duit aussi des corrections.
Notre nouvelle brochure «Système de notation de l‘IFS
Food Standard Version 7 « explique ce système de nota-
tion en détail. Cette brochure est disponible en anglais,
français, allemand, italien et espagnol et peut être télé-
chargée sur notre site web.
Food Safety Culture
La food safety culture est abordée dans l’ensemble du
référentiel IFS Food et est maintenant explicitement in-
cluse au niveau des deux exigences de la version 7, suite
à l’addition de celle-ci dans les exigences Benchmarking
de la GFSI Version 2020.1. Vous pouvez trouver plus d’in-
formations dans notre fiche d’information « Food Safety
Culture ». Elle est disponible sur notre site web en anglais,
français, allemand, italien et espagnol.
Pour en savoir plus, l’IFS vous propose également un
module en ligne «Food Safety Culture». Il vous fournira
des lignes directrices et un aperçu précieux sur le sujet.

Informazioni essenziali per le aziende certificate
per prepararsi all’IFS Food versione 7
Cronologie
Gli Assessment IFS Food versione 7 possono essere ese-
guiti a partire dal 1° marzo 2021. L’implementazione di-
venterà obbligatoria per tutte le aziende certificate a par-
tire dal 1° luglio 2021.
In alcuni casi è necessario fare delle eccezioni. Ecco una
panoramica delle situazioni eccezionali:
>> Assessment delle aziende multiubicazionee con ge-
stione centrale dove l‘Assessment del sito di gestione
centrale viene effettuato entro il 1° marzo 2021. Si
deve fare tutto il possibile affinché l‘Assessment del
sito di gestione centrale sia effettuato dopo il 1° mar-
zo 2021 secondo la versione 7 dell’IFS Food. Nel caso
ciò non sia possibile, l’ente di certificazione responsa-
bile deve fornire una giustificazione all’IFS.
>> Assessment di follow-up quando l‘Assessment „princi-
pale” ha avuto luogo prima del 1° luglio 2021 (ed
è stato effettuato secondo la V6.1)
>> Assessmnt di estensione quando l‘Assessment
„principale” ha avuto luogo prima del 1° luglio 2021
(ed è stato fatto secondo la V6.1)
L’ammissione generale delle suddette situazioni eccezio-
nali, che consentono l’utilizzo dell’IFS Food versione 6.1
dopo il 1° luglio 2021, terminerà il 30 giugno 2022.
Se la finestra temporale per l’Assessment non annuncia-
to inizia il 1° maggio 2021, allora l‘Assessment deve esse-
re effettuato secondo la versione 7 dell’IFS Food. A partire
dal gennaio 2021, almeno un Assessment per la certifica-
zione IFS ogni tre deve essere effettuato non annunciato.
È responsabilità dell’ente di certificazione assicurarsi che
questa regola sia rispettata.
Seminario online gratuito sui
principali cambiamenti dell’IFS Food
versione 7
L’IFS Academy fornirà un seminario online gratuito per le
aziende certificate. Il nostro responsabile della gestione
degli standard, Chryssa Dimitriadis, spiegherà le princi-
pali modifiche allo standard. Il seminario si terrà in ingle-
se ed è previsto per il 21 ottobre, dalle 10:00 alle 12:00

Accreditamento e Benchmarking
L’IFS ha pubblicato la versione 7 dell’IFS Food Standard a
seguito del feedback positivo ricevuto dall’ente di accre-
ditamento tedesco DAkkS. Il rapporto di valutazione del
DAkkS sarà condiviso con la cooperazione europea per
l’accreditamento (EA).
Richiederemo il riconoscimento GFSI secondo i requisiti
di benchmarking GFSI versione 2020.1.
Obbligatorio GS1 Global
Location Numbers (GLN)
Una nuova caratteristica dell’IFS Food versione 7 è il GLN
che apparirà sul Certificato IFS e sulla prima pagina del
Rapporto di Assessment IFS. Il GLN è obbligatorio solo
per le aziende dello Spazio economico europeo (SEE) e
del Regno Unito (UK) quando lascerà lo SEE nel genna-
io 2021. Il GLN semplifica la comunicazione tra fornitori
e dettaglianti, poiché la maggior parte dei dettaglianti
delle suddette aree lavora con esso nei loro sistemi di ge-
stione della merce. Il GLN ottimizza anche la sicurezza e
la verificabilità dei certificati IFS.
L’auditor verificherà la validità del GLN durante l’IFS
Assessment, interrogandolo online nel database GEPIR o
controllando la conferma dell’ordine o della fattura che
l’azienda ha ricevuto da GS1. Per le aziende certificate
nel SEE e nel Regno Unito, l’auditor deve compilare il
campo GLN obbligatorio nel rapporto di assessment. In
caso contrario, l’ente di certificazione non può rilasciare
il Certificato IFS.
A questo scopo, IFS collabora con GS1 Germany GmbH.
Le aziende che necessitano di questo numero possono
informarsi tramite questo sito web.
A partire da febbraio 2021, sarà possibile ordinare il GLN
anche da questo sito web. Si prega di notare che un’a-
zienda deve avere un GLN valido quando ha luogo il pri-
mo Assessment IFS Food V7. L’ultima data possibile per
ordinarne uno è la data di Assessment.
Nuovo sistema di punteggio
Nell’IFS Food Standard versione 7, abbiamo apportato
delle modifiche al sistema di punteggio. C’è una nuova
definizione del punteggio B e abbiamo introdotto delle
correzioni.

Información esencial para que las empresas certificadas
se preparen para el IFS Food versión 7
Plazos
Las evaluaciones de la versión 7 de IFS Food pueden rea-
lizarse a partir del 1 de marzo de 2021. La implementa-
ción será obligatoria para todas las empresas certificadas
a partir del 1 de julio de 2021.
En algunos casos habrá determinadas excepciones. A
continuación se presenta un resumen de las situaciones
excepcionales:
>> Evaluación de las empresas con múltiples emplaza-
mientos y gestión central en las que la evaluación de
la central de gestión es antes del 1 de marzo de 2021.
Se tendrá que hacer todo lo posible para que la eva-
luación de la central de gestión se realice después del
1 de marzo de 2021 de acuerdo con la versión 7 de IFS
Food. En caso de que esto no sea posible, la entidad
de certificación responsable deberá proporcionar una
justificación a IFS.
>> La evaluación de seguimiento cuando la evaluación
“principal” conectada tuvo lugar antes del 1 de julio
de 2021 (y se realizó de acuerdo con la V6.1)
>> Evaluación de la extensión cuando la evaluación
“principal” asociada tuvo lugar antes del 1 de julio de
2021 (y se realizó de acuerdo con la V6.1)
La admisión general de las situaciones excepcionales
mencionadas, que permiten el uso de la versión 6.1 de
IFS Food después del 1 de julio de 2021, terminará el 30
de junio de 2022.
Si el periodo de certifación para las evaluaciones IFS sin
anunciar comienza el 1 de mayo de 2021, entonces la
evaluación se hará de acuerdo con la versión 7 de IFS
Food. A partir de enero de 2021, al menos una de cada
tres evaluaciones de certificación IFS se hará sin anunciar.
Es responsabilidad de su entidad de certificación asegu-
rarse de que esta regla se cumple.

Acreditación y evaluación comparativa
IFS ha publicado la versión 7 de IFS Food tras la respuesta
positiva recibida por la entidad de acreditación alemán
DAkkS. El informe de evaluación de DAkkS será compar-
tido con las Entidades de Acreditación Europeas (EA).
Solicitaremos el reconocimiento de GFSI de acuerdo con
los requisitos de referencia de la GFSI, versión 2020.1.
Números de localización
global obligatorios GS1 (GLN)
Una nueva característica de la versión 7 de IFS Food es el
GLN que aparecerá en el Certificado IFS y en la primera
página del Informe de Evaluación IFS. El GLN sólo es obli-
gatorio para las empresas dentro del Espacio Económico
Europeo (EEE) y el Reino Unido (UK) cuando salga del EEE
en enero de 2021. El GLN simplifica la comunicación en-
tre los proveedores y los distribuidores, ya que la mayoría
de los distribuidores de las áreas mencionadas trabajan
con él en sus sistemas de gestión de mercancías. El GLN
también optimiza la seguridad y la verificabilidad de los
certificados IFS.
El auditor comprobará la validez del GLN durante la eva-
luación IFS, ya sea consultándolo en línea en la base de
datos del GEPIR o comprobando la confirmación del pedi-
do o la factura que la empresa recibió de GS1. En el caso
de las empresas certificadas en el EEE y el Reino Unido,
el auditor debe rellenar el campo obligatorio del GLN en
el informe de evaluación. De lo contrario, la entidad de
certificación no puede emitir el Certificado IFS.
Para ello, IFS coopera con GS1 Alemania GmbH. Las em-
presas que requieran este número pueden informarse a
través de este sitio web.
A partir de febrero de 2021, también será posible pe-
dir el GLN en este sitio web. Tenga en cuenta que una
empresa debe tener un GLN válido cuando se realice la
primera evaluación IFS Food V7. La última fecha posible
para pedir uno es la fecha de la evaluación.
Nuevo sistema de puntuación
En la versión 7 de IFS Food Standard, hemos realizado
