Responsibilities:

• Facilitating and monitoring the Mentor-Protégé program for all the new employees and Stars of the
Business at BALCO. Assignment of mentor and keeping a track of their meetings on monthly basis.
• Conducting the Act UP process for selection of “Stars of the Business”. Keeping track of the
progression of stars and adhering to the policy by taking appropriate measures related to maintaining
the number of stars in the organization and providing them opportunities for fast growth.
• Identifying the “Key” and “Critical” positions of the organization after discussion with the department
head, HR head and the CEO. Managing the incumbents and the successors based on their
performance and third party survey report. Taking approval of the finalized key and critical Positions
along with the incumbents and the successors as per the group’s policy.
• Identifying a third party to conduct the competency mapping exercise and 360 degree survey for all
the level of management team and taking the approval from appropriate authority.
• To conduct the engagement survey annually and make plans for development post discussion with
different groups in the organization. Also ensure the sustainability of the new plan over the span of
an year.
• Coordinating the competency mapping exercise conducted by a third party and further analysis of
the report to compare and identify the incumbent and successors of the key and critical positions.
• Coordinating the 360 degree survey conducted by a third party and helping the employee to
understand the report for their betterment.
• As a certified IDP champion of group, creating and managing the Individual Development Plan of the
employees for their growth in the organization as discussed and decided with the help of employees
and the department head.
• Facilitating the job rotation (Profile Change) of employees in the enabling function as per policy and
keeping a track of the employees to be rotated.
• Facilitating and coordinating the transfer of employees within group companies as per policy.
• To conduct the KRA retreat every year after finalization of the business goals for the financial year
in order to facilitate the JO setting.
• To align the JO of every department with that of the business goal and create a cascading effect from
top to bottom.
• To facilitate the Mid-year performance appraisal on SAP from its commencement to timely
completion.
• To facilitate the Annual performance appraisal on SAP from its commencement to timely completion.
• To ensure that bell curve is being adhered to in all the departments as defined by the group.

• To check the monetary effect of appraisal on the organization and taking approval of the same by
appropriate authority.
• To analyze the manpower number and cost for the financial year and make plans for
separation/recruitment as appropriate.
• To recruit the new talent for organization through campus hiring or through consultants.
• To keep a check on the cost of manpower in order to provide approval for manpower hiring.
• Coordinating the monthly report, MIS, director’s report etc. to be sent to the group.
• Keeping a track of production and manpower (both regular and contract) for calculating the
productivity on monthly basis in order to reach the benchmark level for all the businesses of the
organization.
• Preparing the detail for presentation in various meeting by HR.
• Facilitating the presentation of organization at various awards into various categories of HR.
• Preparing the data for HR Scorecard audit and ensuring zero observation in terms of policy
adherence and achieving the goals set for the year.
• Preparing the way forward post every audit and plans to implement the improvement ideas.
• Keeping a track of all the policies and to update the same as and when required.
