    Description and implementation steps:


    Using the 8051 and relays, we will build a IR remote control system which will be able to control
    multiple home appliances.

    For this we will first try to construct a circuit using Proteus.

    According to the circuit we will develop a program in MIDE 51 for 8051 microcontroller.

    After developing the code we will simulate in software(Proteus or MATLAB) and then we will predict the
    outcome.

    According to that we will adjust the circuit for final implementation.

    Improvement: The remote will be compact and replaceable with several remotes which will control
    different appliances. It will also be power efficient .
