In this exercise, you create a sales order for an item to be

manufactured. You review an existing production bill of
materials to see how the components are issued. You create a
production order and link the sales order to it. You release the
production order to shop floor. When manufacturing is finished,
you report completion of the production order and review the
inventory status. You close the production order and deliver the
item to the customer.
