Module 10
Description
1) Provide a final furniture plan, formally drafted to scale.
For your four focus areas only: The furnishings shown on the plan must be keyed to a legend and coordinated with
the materials boards/furniture specifications.
2) For each of your four focus areas, present materials boards including finish material products, furniture, and
plumbing fixtures.
On the presentation boards, identify where each product will be located, the product's name, and the
manufacturer.
Your material and furniture selections should demonstrate an application of the elements of design consistent with
a visual expression of your design concept.
Select plumbing fixtures that are ADA compliant and supportive of universal design principles.
3) Provide specification sheets for all selected products shown on the materials boards.
4) Provide a written summary (1/2 page) of sustainable design strategies employed in the selection of furniture, fixtures,
and finish materials. These strategies should include usage of natural resources, indoor air quality, and water efficiency
5) Provide a color palette that you employed in the materials selections, and a written summary (1/2 page) of your color
strategy for the project. Your color strategy should address both your chosen concept and the functional applications of
color (examples include functional, behavioral, wayfinding, perceptual, and/or cultural).
Purpose
To complete the final selection of furniture, fixtures, and finish materials. Emphasis is placed on selecting products and
materials that are expressive of the design concept on an abstract level by applying the principles and elements of
design.
