    Differences between the HCTL-2001 / 2017 / 2021 and


    HCTL-2000 / 2016 / 2020

    The HCTL-2000/2016/2020 is motion control decoder/ 2. DC Characteristics


    counter that was designed many years ago on a 0.8 mm
    process. Due to a lack of support of the old wafer fabri- a. HCTL-2001/2017/2021
    cation process, new parts have been designed using a i. Quiescent supply current maximum of 100 mA
    new 0.5 mm process with higher performance, namely ii. Output capacitance of 5 pF
    the HCTL-2001/2017/2021. b. HCTL-2000/2016/2020
    The HCTL-2001/2017/2021 are functionality backward i. Quiescent supply current maximum of 5 mA
    compatible with the HCTL-2000/2016/2020 and pin-to- ii. Output capacitance of 6 pF
    pin compatible. Since the devices are designed with add-
    ed features and higher performance that are also used 3. AC Characteristics
    in the HCTL-2032/2022, there are a few differences that a. HCTL-2001/2017/2021
    the user should be aware when replacing the old HCTL- i. Hold time tDSD and tDOD minimum of 10 ns
    2000/2016/2020 with the new HCTL-2001/2017/2021.
    b. HCTL-2000/2016/2020
    There are four differences between the old and new i. Holt time tDSD and tDOD minimum of 5 ns

    i. DC supply voltage up to 5.5 V
    ii. Storage temperature up to 125° C
