Initial Survey and Assessment of Yacht Aquamarine

Arrived in Yacht dock at about 1021hrs, carried out necessary login requirements & safety protocols,
proceeded to Yacht Aquamarine and requested the Captain and two crews to explained the present
condition of the yacht and provide us all the records and necessary documents for reference.
Unfortunately, electrical wiring and lightning diagrams cannot be located.

Findings:

A. Her outside beauty still remains except that the two propellers are heavily damaged.
B. Aft wood textures are not so good anymore.
C. Saloon ceilings and lightings are damaged, sofas are dirty.
D. Electrical outlets are out in place which is very unsafe.
E. Safety equipment are outdated, not tested for long time.
F. Main Engines started and found in good running condition and looks in good as well.
G. Stoves, refrigerators and other appliances are not working.
H. Some paints on the walls have blisters, suspected possible inner corrosions.
I. Two generators are not working
J. Air Conditioning system needed to check and try out working condition
K. Bilge and fire pump not working properly as reported.
L. Suspected that fuel tanks are dirty and condensation present.
M. ME sump oil may need to renew after check and assessment
N. Steering rudder mechanism/parts/electrical wiring/hoses seems not in a good condition.
O. No Maintenance plan recorded and implemented.

Recommendations:

A. Two damaged propellers to replace with new spares. Propeller shaft to be inspected, confirm no
damage and properly aligned.
B. Aft wood parquet to renew
C. All lightings to renew (including sockets) to required specifications. Ceilings to renew or repair.
D. Electrical outlets to fix and secure
E. Outdated safety equipment to renew, other to test and ensure good working condition.
F. Main Engines to keep in good running condition
G. Damaged appliances to renew or check for possible repair
H. Paints of the walls to chips, clean and repaint.
I. Generators need complete checks and troubleshooting to put back to good working condition
J. Air conditioning to put to good working condition
K. Bilge and fire pump to check and tried out, put back to good operational condition.
L. All fuel tanks to check/drain/clean and renew fuel filters.
M. Check and renew ME sump oil if necessary.
N. Steering rudder mechanism/parts/electrical wiring/hoses need to check/clean and re-arrange as
found necessary.
O. To make simple technical plan maintenance system to be followed by yacht operating crews.

Above recommendations are subject to owner’s approval after checking and discussion with us.

Reminded Yacht crew to keep looking for electrical and lightning diagrams as this is very useful to make
the job easier and faster. All good batteries onboard to charge and keep ready for use. Departed from
yacht at around 1600 hrs.
