Substitute rhythm sticks if needed. Start in horizontal lines next to a


partner, all facing forward.

Measures 1-4: (Introduction)


• Stand in place and prepare to move. Internalize the beat.

Measures 5-8: (A Section)


• In measure 5, step to the right with one foot on each beat while
crossing sticks over each other on beats 1-3, alternating wrists.
Then place sticks on shoulders on beat 4 of each measure.
• Repeat 3 times alternating left, right, and left again.

Measures 9-12: (B Section) “Partners”


• In measure 9, facing a partner, cross your own sticks on beat 1,
then cross your right stick with your partner’s right stick on beat
two. On beat 3 cross your own sticks, then cross your left stick
with your partners left stick on beat 4.
• Repeat for 3 more measures.

Measures 13-16: (C Section)


• In measure 13, step backward on beats 1-3 while crossing sticks
over each other, alternating wrists. Stop on beat 4 and place
sticks on shoulders.
• Repeat for 3 more measures, alternating going forward,
backward, then forward again.

Measures 17-20: Repeat A Section

Measures 25-28: (D Section) “Fast Corners”
• In measure 25, bending down toward your right foot, on beats
1-3 cross sticks on quick eighth notes, alternating wrists. On
beat 4 bring sticks to shoulder.
• Repeat for 3 more measures, alternating on your left side, right
side, then left side again.

• On beat one, put arms down so sticks are at your sides.
