1. Introduction

Biztech consultancy provides a proficient mobile application for Android with SugarCRM in-
stance as a back end. It allows accessing your customer data on your mobile device. The mod-
ules and their layout can be configured from the back end.

2. Pre-requisites

Following points must be followed before starting the plug-in installation:


 You should login as an Administrator in SugarCRM.

 Check if your SugarCRM Instance is compatible to SugarMob-Pro or not.

 You must have a valid License Key Provided by Biztech Store.

 If you are installing SugarMob Pro, then make sure there should not be any older version
of SugarMob Pro already installed on SugarCRM. If there is any then you should have to
uninstall that plug-in first.

 And lastly, install the mobile app on your android smart phone.

3. Installation

Step 1
To start with the installation, log-in as Administrator into SugarCRM. Go to the
administration page and click on “Module Loader” to install the package.

Step 2
Browse the zip file and click on “Upload” button under Module Loader screen. After
uploading package, click on the “Install” button to install the package.

Click on “Commit” button to finish the installation. After successful installation you can
see “SugarMob Pro” Plug-in in Installed plug-in list on Module Loader page.

Step 4
Now, need to repair your SugarCRM Instance. For that go to Administration page and
click on “Repair” link, then click on “Quick Repair and Rebuild” link.

4. Plugin Configuration

Step1: Get an activation key

Get the activation key from the Order Confirmation Mail. OR


Login to your Biztech Store account then go to Downloadable options and copy the activation
key for the SugarMob Pro.

Step2: Activate your plug-in

After the successful package installation, you need to validate your license and activate your
SugarMob Pro Configuration.
Log-in to your SugarCRM as admin and go to Administrator Page. You can see the admin panel
has one more panel added for SugarMob Pro.

Now click on License Configuration link, this will re-direct you to License Configuration tab.
Enter License activation key for the SugarMob Pro plug-in provided by Biztech Store. Validate
your license by pressing the “Validate” button.
After the successful validation of license key you can Enable/Disable the plug-in.

Now, Your SugarMob Pro plug-in has been activated.

Step3:
Click on “User Accessible Modules Setting”. Here you can select the modules to be displayed in
the app. This will be applicable to all app users.

Tick against the checkbox of the modules to be displayed in the app. Click on “Save” button.

Step4:
Click on “Configure Mobile Layouts”. Here you can set the fields for three views: Edit, Detail and
list with respect to the modules selected above.

First and foremost, select the module from the drop down list. This list will include only the
modules selected in user accessibility section.

Drag and drop the fields in right pane which you would like to set in the app.
This setting will be for all: Edit, Detail and View.

Step5:
Download and install the mobile app on your phone. The login screen will be as follows:
Enter the username, password and the store URL to which you want to connect.

When you log in successfully, the app will load the modules as configured previously. The next
screen will be a dashboard screen as showed below:

Access the modules listed in the menu. You can verify that the modules that you have ticked in
step 3 will only show up here.

Step 8:

View any of the modules, the layout will reflect as you configured in step 4. You can edit and
delete the records as per the accessibility.

Step 9:
Call or SMS any contact directly from the app.

Step 10:
Move to the Settings screen where you can set the number of records per page. Switch on the
“Store data offline” tab to save your data even in offline mode. Press the sync button to sync the
offline data with your SugarCRM instance when connected to the internet.

View and edit your profile and password through the app.

Go to the Calendar module, where you can schedule calls and meetings for a specific date.

All Set! Now, your SugarMob Pro has been configured and ready to use.
