2. First two essays of 10 marks each must be written within 150 words

3. The third essay of 30 marks must be written within 300 words.

9. Typed answers will get invalidated and the answers must be written by the
candidates in their own handwriting.

 Part II Questions

1. Why do you want to be a Civil Servant? (150 Words, 10 Marks)

2. What are the various ways in which gender inequality is manifested in India and
how far we could overcome this? (150 words, 10 Marks)

3. 3. You are a freshly joined civil servant. You come to realize that large scale
mismanagement of funds is happening in your department. Contractors, senior
officials and political functionaries are likely to be part of such corrupt nexus. It
is hinted to you by some staff that you need to comply with their request to
facilitate or at least turn a blind eye to the whole affair. Otherwise, a transfer to
a remote district as a 'punishment posting' is the likely consequence. What will
be your course of action in such a situation? Suggest long term measures to
prevent and resolve such issues. (300 words, 30 Marks)
