Data Visualization of Nominal, Ordinal, Interval and Ratio level of
measurements of following Dataset.

Dataset Name: Student Time Management Performance Dataset.

Source: https://www.kaggle.com/xiaowenlimarketing/international-student-time-
management

Context: Data were collected by questionnaire. It is based on real-time research in the


Nottingham Trent International College. It intends to help researchers to discover factors that
affect students' time management skills.

Content: The dataset includes the information of students such as age, sex, nationalities,
studying programmes academic marks and attendance. Also, students' answers to the time
management skill related questions.

Goal: To create proper visualizations of above datasets by following four levels of


measurements:

1. Nominal data
2. Ordinal data
3. Interval data
4. Ratio data

Questionaries’ asked by the surveyor to the students are

1.Does Gender affects the time management?

2.Does age affects the time management?

3.Does academics affects the time managements?

4. Does eating habits affect the time managements?

The options given to them are:

1. Agree
2. Dis agree
3. Neither
4. Strongly Agree
5. Strongly disagree.

1.Nominal Data:

The below pie chart (1.1) represents the male and female genders that took part in the survey.

3.Interval Data:

The below Histogram (Fig: 3.1) represents the different age group students who participated
in the questionnaires.

The x- axis shows the different age groups and y- axis shows the number students of each age
group interval.

3.2. The below Histogram (Fig: 3.1) represents the different academic percentages of the
students who participated in the questionnaires.

The X-axis shows the percentages of students and Y- axis shows the number of students in
the percentage interval.
Ratio Data:

The Scatter graph represents the total number of students who participated in the quaternaries
by differentiating their age group.

• Index-0= Age <15


• Index-1= Age 15-18
• Index-2= Age 18-20
• Index-3= Age 21-25
• Index-4= Age 26-30
• Index-5= Age 31-35

In fig:4.1 the X-axis represents age group index’s and Y-axis represents the number students.
