How Pure Water Cleaning Works
…explaining why so many traditional window cleaners are converting to WFP cleaning

The Basics: Brodex DI machines produce Pure Water by
passing the water through resin crystals, thus de-ionising it.
With our RO machines (particularly suitable for hard water
areas) it is first passed through a special reverse osmosis
membrane. This extracts the minerals from the water
which would, otherwise, leave residue on the glass. Pure
water is then stored in the tank and the efficient Brodex
pumps project the water along the hose, up the pole and
through the nozzles in the brush head onto the glass.
Our unique machine controls enable you to adjust the
flow of water depending on the height of the job and type
of work, thus saving water to enable you to work longer.
It is the combination of friction from the bristles and the
strength of the now pure (deposit-free) water which does
the work - we will teach you the correct technique for the
most efficient clean - then the brush is held a few inches
away from the glass and the window rinsed from top to
bottom, leaving it to dry naturally to a crystal-clear finish.
Brodex machines are fast and easy to set up, and start
earning for you straight away. You should be able to take
on more and higher-calibre work with these machines.

Water, water everywhere...

Although tap water looks clean, it actually contains a lot of dissolved chemicals
and minerals. These amounts vary from area to area (Hard & Soft water areas –
see page 5 for a guide). It is these minerals (mainly calcium and magnesium)
that leave white residues on glass.

The Brodex water purification technology de-mineralises and de-ionises tap

water to remove these impurities and produce pure water.

Pure water is the best product to clean windows for several reasons:
By virtue of the nature of water it does not like being pure and it strives to return
to its impure state, therefore it actually absorbs chemicals and holds dirt particles,
aiding the cleaning process.

n Because of the cleaning strength of pure water you do not need to use
detergents on the windows, thus you save money and time, plus it’s better for
the environment.

n Due to the impurities being removed you do not need to squeegee the
windows, simply rinsing the glass after brushing leaves an excellent streak-
free finish.

£10-£20 per average house for one operator and from

Quick tips when choosing a machine:

n Decide how many operators you need, for now and in the future
n Capacity - Establish how big your round is, i.e. a small round, done
casually over a few days a week may suit a smaller capacity 250 litre model,
whereas a larger commercial round, needing multiple operators would
benefit from a larger capacity 650 or 1000 litre model.
n Van or Trailer? Select the right size system for your vehicle
– our sales staff will be happy to advise you. Please note:
if you already have a vehicle, you will need to tell us
the manufacturer’s payload, then we can advise you
of the most suitable machine for safety reasons.
n Safety - Brodex have a 100% safety record with our
machines and we use top grade materials to mount
the machine to and through the floor of your
vehicle. We also recommend having a solid steel
bulkhead fitted to protect the driver and passenger in
case of a high-impact head-on collision.
n Know the quality of the water on your round.
For soft to normal water areas a de-ionised model
(DI) will suffice, but if you will, or think you will, be cleaning
in a hard water area, then a Reverse Osmosis model (RO) would be a much better investment. Even in soft water areas
you may wish to consider the RO alternative, since although at a higher initial cost, the RO has significantly lower
running costs than the DI, due to greatly increased resin life - often as much as 20 times. So it is better value in the

road and we will supply sandwiches upon request.
