A. Home Reading Center Challenge

For Grades 7-10
Mechanics:

1. Set up a little Reading Corner at home.

2. Present your Home Reading Corner in a 1-minute video (intro and ending)
3. Read your 1-2 minutes story at your HRC.
4. Wear a costume (optional)
5. Video should only have 3-4 minutes total length.
6. Submit video to your English Teacher on November 27, 8am.

Criteria:

a. HRC Arrangement & Creativity - 30%

b. Reading Impact - 30%
c. Video Presentation Impact - 25%
d. Audio & Image Quality - 15%

B. Share a Story Challenge

For Grades 11 and 12
Mechanics:

1. Choose your story.

2. Dress up according to your character.
3. Video your self as you read your story. (Big Book is encouraged but optional)
4. Make a character transformation (i.e. from ordinary girl to a princess for Cinderella). Be creative!
5. Video should be 3-5 minutes in length only.
6. Submit it to your English teacher on November 27, 8am.

Criteria:

a. Video presentation Impact - 25%

b. Character Transition Impact - 25%
c. Story Reading Impact - 35%
d. Audio & Image Quality - 15%

General Mechanics:

1. Language should be English.

2. Story should be English.
3. Upload video on Facebook/Instagram with the ff hashtags:

4. Tag your English Teachers.

Awards:

First - 100% Performance Rating & Certificate of Recognition (Plus a surprise)

Second - 90% & Performance Rating & Certificate of Recognition
Third - 85% Performance Rating & Certificate of Recognition
Consolation - 80% Performance Rating
