SALIENT FEATURES OF THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS FOR APPOINTMENT

TO THE P OST OF MEDICAL /SCIENTIFIC OFFICER-D (RADIOLOGY)/ (DR/03)


IN LEVEL 11 OF PAY MATRIX
(ADVERTISEMENT NO. 01/2020-R-IV)

Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay, Mumbai initiated recruitment process to fill up the vacancy
in BARC for the post of Medical /Scientific Officer-D (Radiology) in Group ‘A’ (Gazetted) by Direct
Recruitment. Accordingly, an abridged version of Advertisement No.
01/2020 (R-IV) was released in Employment News and other daily newspapers. The advertisement
was also displayed on BARC website www.barc.gov.in and www.recruit.barc.gov.in with instructions
to candidates to apply online. Initially the last date for submission of online applications was
(1) 15/04/2020. However, due to prevailing situation of Covid-19 pandamic, advertisement for inviting
online applications was postponed. Thereafter an abridged version of Advertisement No. 01/2020 (R-
IV) was again released in Employment News and other daily newspapers in the month of August
2020. The same advertisement was display on BARC website www.barc.gov.in and
www.recruit.barc.gov.in with instructions to candidates to apply online. However the eligibility, last
date of age criteria etc. was considered as per advertisement notified in BARC recruitment website,
Employment News and other news papers in March 2020.
A list of provisionally Screened-in candidates were uploaded in BARC websites www.barc.gov.in &
(2) recruit.barc.gov.in .

(3) Interview of shortlisted candidates was conducted on 24/03/2021.

The candidate should satisfy the recruitment Norms as per the Advertisement. Mere empanelment will
(6) not guarantee appointment. Even after selection, if it is found that the candidate is not fulfilling the
Recruitment Rules/Norms, his candidature is liable to be cancelled.

Records of the Candidates not selected shall not be preserved beyond 06 months from the date of
(7) publication of select list.

The appointment is subject to availability of vacancies and other Government Orders during the
(8) validity period of the panel.
