A. Preparation
a.Review
Good Morning class, How are you today? Good Morning sir , we’re good sir, how about you?
I’m doing good this morning, Thank you and it’s
nice to hear that you’re okay.
Now, What did we discuss last meeting? Yes Last meeting we discussed about impulse
Shaira?
Very good!
I guess you are all ready for our next topic.
b.Motivation
B. Presentation
So , lend me your ears because this morning , we
will discuss about

C. Generalization
I have here the definition of the word “ Work” and
its types , The positive work and the Negative
Work. Everybody read!
Work- Measure of energy transfer that occurs “Work- Measure of energy transfer that occurs
when an object is moved over a distance by an when an object is moved over a distance by an
external force external force
In Equation In Equation
W= Force X Distance W= Force X Distance
Positive work= The applied force has a component Positive work= The applied force has a component
in the direction of the displacement. in the direction of the displacement.
Negative Work= The force has a component in the Negative Work= The force has a component in the
direction opposite to the displacement. direction opposite to the displacement.”
Discussion:
When you hear the word “work”, what comes into A job sir, A work abroad, a homework sir
your mind?
Yes
When you hear the work “WORK” you may think
of household chores, a job at an office , factory or
farm , or even the homework you do every night.
Scientist also uses the word “WORK”. When a
force produces motion parallel to the direction of
the force , work is done in the scientific sense
In Equation:
W=FD
Where
F=force
D=Distance
For example:
Abiel Pushed the box 10 meters away from his
room with a force of 50 N. How much work done?
W=fd
W=(50N)(10M)
And you will get the result
W=500 J
Another Example
Now , who will try to solve this on the board? Yes F=(1000kg)(9.8m/s2)
Alia F =9800 kg. m/s2
Very good , So
W=FD
=(9,800 kg.m/s2)(10M)
W= 98000 J
None Sir.
Any clarification?
Values Integration
Work is also defined as the activity you do We need to work or do the household chores to
regularly . In your own idea , Why do we need to help our parents and for us to be a good son and
work? daughter sir.
D. Application
For our activity 1. I will divide you into two groups ,
as you can see there are three stations. In station 1
there are jumbled letters inside the envelope, all
you have to do is to arrange the jumbled letters
and paste it on the manila paper, after arranging
the letters in Station 1 you can proceed to station
2 . In station 2 you need to answer the questions
written in the rolled paper, your answer should be
written on the same manila paper . And after
answering the questions in station 2 , proceed
directly to station 3 . In station 3 there are two
word problems that you are going to solve . The
team who can finish the task first will be declared
as the winner.
Let’s Start
