FORMATIVE QUESTIONS

1.) What knowledge can we gathered for these experiments?

How can you say that you will learn more after you do this experiment?
Answer:
What-
The knowledge we gained in the experiment is we did about evaluate the R(resistor) and
C(capacitor) series and parallel circuit is how to take the current, voltage, impedance and phase
angle of the RC series and parallel circuits using the formula used here.

How-
For us, we think that it is good for knowledge gathering because you can learn something from
evaluating the RC series and parallel circuit in this experiment and how to get the answers using
its formulas.

2.) What skill have you learned so that you can improve yourself even more?
How will you use it for the next experiment?

Answer:
What-
The skill that we think we can use is how to be a critical thinker because there’s a lot of data to be
taken in evaluating the RC series and parallel circuit data.

How-
We think we can use it for the guide because we already have the basis how to gain the data for
these experiments using the RC series and parallel circuit data gathered for evaluation.

3.) What attitude did you take to properly perform the experiment on Evaluating the RC Series and
Parallel Circuit?
How did you say that your experiment turned out well?

Answer:
What-
The experiments that we do is by group, because of this grouping the leader gave us the tasks and
the things we need to do for this evaluation and each of us uses our ideas so that we can do our
experiment properly.

How-
We can say that the outcome of our evaluation experiment will be good because we did all of our
parts as a group; problem solving to get the final answer in evaluating the current, voltage,
impedance and phase angle of RC series and parallel circuit.
V. GENERALIZATION
- The RC Series Circuit is a circuit that consists of pure resistance R ohms coupled in series
with a pure capacitor of capacitance C farads. A sinusoidal voltage is provided, and current I
flow via the circuit's resistance (R) and capacitance (C).
- A parallel R-C circuit connects a pure resistor with resistance in ohms and a pure capacitor
with capacitance in Farads in parallel. Because the voltage drops in a parallel RC circuit are the
same, the applied voltage equals the voltage across the resistor and the voltage across the
capacitor. In a parallel R-C circuit, the current is the total of the currents across the resistor and
capacitor.

- To find the Impedance of Series RC you must compute the Z= √ (R2 −X 2C ), where R is the
resistor (resistance) and XC is the capacitor (capacitance).
V
- To find the Impedance of Parallel RC you must compute the Z= I T , where R is the resistor
(resistance) and XC is the capacitor (capacitance).

VI. CONCLUSION
To summarize, we conducted this experiment to better understand the current, voltage
drops, impedance and phase angle of the RC series and parallel circuit by assimilating them
into Multisim and creating exponential and logarithmic graphs to compare their differences and
applications. The findings supported our hypothesis's predicted outcome. We learned to use our
social skills to figure out how to delegate tasks to the members of the group; to use critical
thinking to interpret data results; and to apply the knowledge we learned in Circuits 1 as a result
of this.
