EXPERIENCE

HIV Diagnostic and retention assistant current position
Duties
 Follow-up clients on ART after 6 months to 1 year
 Conduct verification of missed appointment and defaulters by retrieving files, extracting missed appointment client
information from personal file onto B2C form before tracing
 Conduct phone tracing of confirmed lost to follow-up cases according to B2C protocol
 Update client tracing outcome in both offline B2C database and tracing registers
 Follow-up all clients with high viral load and those requiring viral load samples redraws to return to clinic for further
management
 Ensure that every client accessing care at lighthouse and its supported sites has up to date tracing information by
checking with the client on their current information at every clinic visit, and update where necessary on the
locator form
 Assess and document psychosocial issues and refer them to psychotherapists
 Conduct intensive adherence counselling of all missed appointment and defaulters
 Provide one-on-one ART adherence counselling services to all ART patients identified with adherence challenges

Duties

 -Providing sensitizations within the health facility to promote HIV Testing

 -providing PITC and CITC in all patients and clients group
 -Providing EID and related areas;
 Proper documentation of infant locater information to easy tracing of infant and guardian
 -Update the DNA PCR log books to ensure results are properly documented
 -Linking HIV positive infants locator information to HAS for tracing
 -Ensure reduction in the lost to follow-up
 -Linking infants/mother pairs to ART
 Referral of all HIV positive patients to treatment, care and support
 Documentation of client information in the appropriate register
 collection of viral load sample, packaging and ensuring samples are sent in a timely manner
 Conducting weekly QC’s of HIV test kits and document correct in HTS register
 Performing the biannual proficiency testing as is required for every HTS provider
 Performing peer sit in session with fellow counsellor using MOH tool
 Compile weekly and monthly HTS reports according to set indicators
 Distribute HIVST kits to all eligible clients in accordance to national guideline
 Provision of Active Index Testing services in line with national guideline






