4.1 General Policy Description

Stanadyne LLC has a policy in place to provide warranty coverage for products that are delivered to it’s
OEM customers as well as products sold through it’s Network of Authorized Service Dealers/Central
Distributors. Stanadyne warrants it’s products to be free from defects in material and workmanship only
and all Terms and Conditions to obtain such Warranty is covered in section 4.2.
It is Stanadyne’s policy to provide warranty covering its products that will not exceed the warranty on the
engine. Infrequent exceptions to this general policy are warranty extensions by Stanadyne to cover
unusual circumstances, such as field modification programs. There will be cases where warranty coverage
for certain engine manufacturers may exceed coverage for other manufacturers. Such coverages are
negotiated separately by Stanadyne with each OEM customer and these specific OEM coverages are
detailed in section 4.3.
Stanadyne also provides a general Standard (Limited)/Aftermarket Warranty on parts and units that are
sold through it’s network of Authorized Dealers and Central Distributors and this general warranty
coverage/schedule is detailed in section 4.2.
It is the Central Distributor’s and Authorized Service Dealer’s responsibility to be knowledgeable of and
familiar with each of these special coverages, to avoid misunderstandings and controversy with OEM
customer-dealers and/or end users. The pages that follow detail Stanadyne’s standard warranty, specific
warranty coverage by customer and product, and provide explicit information and instructions for the
proper completion and filing of claims by the Authorized Stanadyne Network.

NOTE: The standard warranty terms outlined in Section 4.2 apply to all OEM Customers that do not have a
specific warranty schedule.

4.2 Standard (Limited)/Aftermarket Warranty

LIMITED WARRANTY
In most cases, Stanadyne has specific warranty coverage for its OEM customers, as noted in the following
sections. Stanadyne also designates certain products as non-serviceable (which are sold AS IS and without
any warranty), and it publishes specific warranties relating to particular products. All of these specific
terms take precedence over this Standard (Limited) Warranty when provided.
Stanadyne warrants to the original end user/purchaser that diesel fuel systems products sold by
Stanadyne will be free from defects in material and workmanship according to the following schedule and
conditions:

When Warranty Begins

Warranty begins the month of manufacture, unless the unit is purchased by the end user, then warranty
begins the day the product is purchased or leased by the end user purchaser, but does not extend beyond
the warranty period from date of manufacture and it is transferable to subsequent owners.
Stanadyne’s Obligation
Stanadyne’s sole obligation and the purchaser’s sole remedy under this warranty is limited to the free-of-
charge repair or replacement, at Stanadyne’s option, of any product Stanadyne examines and determines
to be defective in material or workmanship. A repaired or replacement product will be made available to
the customer at the location where it has been repaired or replaced, provided that the customer has, at its
expense, removed the defective product from the equipment or vehicle and delivered the defective
product to an Authorized Stanadyne Service Dealer.
Stanadyne’s Policy on Repair or Replacement
Repairs will be made using only new or remanufactured parts provided by Stanadyne. Replacement will be
made only if the product is not serviceable or if it is damaged beyond economical repair. In such cases, a
Stanadyne remanufactured product, if available, will be used as the replacement, unless Stanadyne
specifically authorizes the use of a new product. Remanufactured products will meet the original
equipment manufacturer’s specification.
Note: Failed parts/Units replaced free of charge within the OEM or Service Parts warranty period will only be
warranted to the remainder of the original specified warranty.

Purchaser’s Obligation
The purchaser’s obligation is to operate the product under normal conditions in an approved application,
which includes proper installation, speed, fuel, lubrication, use, and service. Failure to do so voids this
warranty. In order to obtain a remedy under this warranty, the purchaser must deliver the product to an
Authorized Stanadyne Service Dealer who will determine whether the product has failed or not and
determine if warranty consideration can be provided.
How to Obtain Warranty Service
Original Equipment − The purchaser will deliver the engine or vehicle or product to the OEM dealer who
will in turn deliver the product at no charge, along with a completed OEM request for warranty repair form,
bill of sale* or other proof of warrantability to an authorized Stanadyne service agency.
*Note: When no OEM Request for Warranty Form exists and no bill of sale or other proof of warrantability is
available, warranty consideration can be provided based on the product date code (Reference Sections 3.4,
4.6.3, and Service Bulletin 439).

Purchased Product − The product will be delivered at purchaser’s expense, with information as to use
and defect, and with a dated proof of purchase, to an Authorized Service agency.

THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF AND EXCLUDES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES NOT EXPRESSLY SET FORTH
HEREIN, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY OR OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY THAT CANNOT
BE DISCLAIMED UNDER APPLICABLE LAWS IS LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. IN

This warranty supersedes any condition that may be part of a customer’s purchase order.

Some states, provinces and nations do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the
exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations and exclusions
may not apply to you. This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights
which vary from state to state, province to province, and nation to nation.
No variation of the foregoing is authorized, except in writing by an officer of Stanadyne.

4.4 Aftermarket Product Warranties and Specific Policies

4.4.1 Pencil Nozzle® Warranty
Stanadyne provides 2 years, unlimited miles/hours of warranty coverage for Pencil Nozzles through our
Authorized Service Network. This coverage only applies to Pencil Nozzles sold through our Authorized
Service Network and not those sold through our OEM customers.
4.4.2 Service Tool Warranty
Stanadyne LLC warrants to the purchaser that service tools will be free from defects in materials and
workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase.
How to Obtain Warranty Service
If a failure of any tool or test equipment component is experienced, a replacement item should be
purchased and a warranty claim should be submitted along with proof of warrantability and the failed
component to:
Stanadyne LLC
92 Deerfield Road
Windsor, CT 06095
ATTN: Warranty Department

You will receive your net price of the tool plus any substantiated freight charges (no handling) for
obtaining a replacement tool or for returning the defective tool to the factory.

4.4.3 Head and Rotor Seizure Policy (Ref. S.B. 203)

Seizure, for whatever reason, is a serious failure type. It is imperative that the probable cause of pump
seizure be determined and eliminated before remounting the repaired pump or installing a new one.
Warranty claims should not be submitted for head and rotor seizures if the head and rotor has
accumulated over 100 engine hours or 2,000 miles.
In any case involving head and rotor seizure within the warranty period, no attempt should be made to
determine the cause without pressing the rotor from the head for inspection (Ref. Service Bulletin 203). It is
the responsibility of the Authorized Service Dealer to remove the seized rotor from the head to make this
determination.
Whenever the seizure band(s) on the rotor indicate that the engine nozzles are the probable cause (Ref.
example VI, Service Bulletin 203), Stanadyne recommends that the engine nozzles be removed and tested.
If a customer declines to submit the nozzles for analysis, that in itself is not reason to deny warranty
coverage. However, if there is a repeat head and rotor seizure and the seizure band(s) indicate that the
nozzles are the probable cause, all costs associated with this repair are chargeable to the customer. In any
case, labor charges to remove and reinstall the nozzles (and injection pump) are not covered by Stanadyne
warranty.

CONFIDENTIAL: Reproduction or disclosure without Stanadyne’s prior written consent is prohibited. Copyright 2016 Stanadyne LLC.
Global Aftermarket
Service Policies & Procedures Manual
Warranty and Warranty Claims Administration
Page No. 17 Revision No. 15 Effective Date 11/16 Section No. 4

Stanadyne’s reimbursement policy for head and rotor seizures within the warranty period is as follows:
a) If the engine nozzles are submitted with the seized pump, and a nozzle is found to be plugged or is
otherwise determined to be the cause of the pump seizure, warranty for the seizure will be denied
and the customer invoiced for repair and nozzle test time (except as noted below in b).
b) Should the head and rotor seize due to a warrantable failure of a Stanadyne nozzle (plugged
nozzles are not covered by warranty), Stanadyne will reimburse pump and nozzle repair (or
replacement) and nozzle test time.
c) In any case where it is impossible to determine exact cause of seizure, Authorized Service Dealers
should give the customer the benefit of any doubt, and initiate a proper claim for repair (and
nozzle testing time if performed).
4.4.4 Use of Dyed Diesel Fuel
Several United States federal agencies require that diesel fuels for certain uses be colored with red dye.
The EPA requires “visible evidence of the presence of red dye” for high sulfur diesel fuel which can be used
in off highway applications. The IRS requires fuel refineries to add red dye to both low and high sulfur tax-
exempt diesel fuels for identification purposes.
Stanadyne’s diesel fuel injection products have been tested with various dyed fuels and have been found
to operate satisfactorily with such fuels. Consequently, Stanadyne service agencies must not reject
warranty solely because a product submitted to them contains or has been operated with dyed diesel fuel.
As outlined previously in this manual, Stanadyne warrants its products against defects in materials and
workmanship and if such a defect is found, warranty consideration shall be provided regardless of the fuel
color. However, Stanadyne's warranty does not cover failures caused by contaminated fuel. Therefore if a
product is submitted for warranty consideration and is found to have suffered a failure due to
contaminated fuel − dyed or undyed − warranty should be denied and the customer advised of the fuel
related problem using Customer Notification Form 99662 (Ref. Section 2.12).
4.4.5 Use of Biodiesel Fuels
The use of Biodiesel fuels is becoming more prevalent throughout the world as an alternative fuel source.
The main attraction to biodiesel is that it is a clean burning renewable resource. Biodiesel is derived from
vegetable oils such as soybean and rapeseed oils. To date, the majority of biodiesel being used in Europe is
from rapeseed oil while in the United States it is typically derived from soybean oil.
Other terms associated with biodiesel fuels include Rape Methyl Ester (RME) and Soybean Methyl Ester
(SOME) which are collectively known as Fatty Acid Methyl Esters (FAME).
Various standards have been established in different world regions for biodiesel fuels and Stanadyne
endorses the limited use of clean, high quality biodiesel fuels in engines with our fuel systems. However,
recognizing that biodiesel fuels encompass some additional level of risks for water absorbtion, spoilage
etc. we along with the other major FIE manufacturers have signed a common position statement regarding
fuel quality and the use of biodiesel fuels.

To clarify this position as it relates specifically to Stanadyne’s warranty coverage, please note that
Stanadyne’s warranty policies cover defects in materials and workmanship. Failures resulting from fuel,
whether petroleum based or biodiesel or a blend of both are not covered.

4.4.6 OEM Factory Support

Warranty service is normally performed on fuel systems removed from engines that have already been
delivered to the end-use customer. There are, however, occasions where our OEM customers or their sub-
customers require service support (involving either warrantable or non-warrantable repairs) for their
Stanadyne fuel system products prior to being delivered to a customer. This policy covers how such
support is to be administered.
Should you as an Authorized Stanadyne Service Dealer be contacted by an OEM factory to provide support,
the following special procedures apply.
Prior to performing any fuel system repair work you must make a determination whether the work will be
covered by Stanadyne’s limited warranty. Stanadyne’s warranty covers defects in materials and
workmanship only. Some examples of covered defects include:
1. Fuel leaks
2. Incorrect part replacements
3. Misassembly
4. Missing parts or features

Some examples of repairs not covered by Stanadyne’s warranty include:

5. Conversion from one model number or part number to another
6. Modifications or upgrades from one specification edition to another
7. Modifications requested as part of an engineering analysis
8. Products determined to be not defective or “No Trouble Found”
9. Re-setting of Low/High Idle and Torque Screw Adjustments (Ref. S.L. 298)
10. Product removal and reinstallation charges

When requested to perform repairs that are not covered by Stanadyne’s warranty, all charges must be
borne by the customer. No claims should be submitted to Stanadyne for such work.
If you have any doubt as to whether a particular repair procedure should be charged to the customer or
submitted to Stanadyne under warranty, please contact your Central Distributor who in turn must contact
the Global Aftermarket Warranty Department for guidance.
In those cases where the repair work is covered under Stanadyne’s warranty, you may perform the work
and submit your claim in the normal manner with the following differences.
1. If several of the same part number products are being reworked at the same time, all repairs should
be submitted on a single claim form. A list of the product model numbers, serial numbers and date
codes can be attached to the claim.

Service Policies & Procedures Manual
Warranty and Warranty Claims Administration
Page No. 19 Revision No. 15 Effective Date 11/16 Section No. 4

2. On occasion OEM customers may request our Service Dealers to travel to their site to perform
repairs. Although travel to and from customer’s sites is not normally covered by Stanadyne’s
limited warranty, in the case of OEM factory support it may sometimes be authorized. If a specific
request or authorization is provided by a Stanadyne Service/Quality Representative, the work
performed, cost’s incurred (travel time, incidentals etc.) and any additional information requested,
must be documented and entered into the “Additional Comments” section of the warranty claim so
that proper reimbursement is provided.
3. When filing claims for OEM factory support work, ensure that “OE Factory Support” is selected from
the “Claim Type” pull down menu and that all other required information is entered (except
delivery date) as shown in Section 4.7.3 of this manual.

4.6 Warranty Procedures

4.6.1 Obligation to Service Stanadyne Diesel Fuel System Products
Authorized Service Dealers are obligated to provide warranty service for Stanadyne products sold either to
Original Equipment Manufacturers or to original purchasers (end users) according to the applicable
Stanadyne Limited Warranty.
Authorized Service Dealers are expected to make their best effort to return products repaired in warranty
to their customer within 24 hours, (see Section 2.11) if they have the necessary parts and test equipment
on hand to perform the repair work.
4.6.2 Authority to Accept or to Deny Warranty Claims
Authorized Stanadyne Service Dealers are empowered with the authority to accept or to deny warranty
claims based on the information contained herein, other supplemental information supplied by Stanadyne
and their own professional experience. However, if circumstances warrant, Stanadyne reserves final
authority to accept or to deny warranty claims.
Rejected Warranty Claims
In the event of a customer's claim does not qualify for warranty, the Authorized Service Dealer will:
1. Advise the customer that the warranty is rejected and advise the reason for rejection via Customer
Notice Form 99662 (Ref. Section 2.12).
2. Provide the customer with an estimated cost of repair.
3. Service the product if the customer agrees to pay for the repair.

By Stanadyne:
In the event a warranty claim submitted by a Stanadyne distributor or dealer does not qualify for warranty.
Stanadyne will:
1. Advise the Dealer as to the reason that warranty was denied by selecting the reason for rejection on
the warranty claim.
2. Return any parts that accompanied the claim to the Dealer unless parts were not requested to be
returned by Stanadyne, in which case the parts will be scrapped (Ref. Section 4.6.7.3).

4.6.3 Proof of Warrantability

For those OEM customers where no specific OEM Request for Warranty Form exists, a bill of sale or other
proof of warrantability showing the date the product entered service is normally required. However, if
there is no specific OEM Request Form and no bill of sale or other proof of warrantability can be provided,
the Stanadyne Dealer will provide warranty consideration for original equipment products based on the
product date code. See Section 3.4 and/or Service Bulletin 439 for product date code information.
In those cases where coverage is limited to both months of service and hours or miles, warranty coverage
will end at whichever limit occurs first.
Example: Coverage is 18 months or 1,500 hours, whichever occurs first. Product is received on January 1,
2016 and has a product date code of C5 (March, 2015) with 1200 hours of service use. In this example

warranty consideration can be provided since hours of usage is less than 1,500 hours and the unit has
been in service less than eighteen months based on the product date code.
4.6.4 Security Seals
If some or all of the original seals have been removed or broken, and the OEM customer’s representative
advises that he attempted a repair or adjustment before discovering a manufacturing defect, Stanadyne’s
limited warranty applies. However, if damage or misadjustment has resulted from the attempted repair,
then warranty is nullified and the claim must be directed the to the OEM. Note: Readjustment of high idle,
low idle, or torque screws are not covered by Stanadyne warranty (Ref. S.L. 298).
4.6.5 Repair Procedures
All pump repairs during warranty must be performed according to factory standards and the procedures
described in Service Letter 222, the appropriate product service manuals and applicable service bulletins
and parts bulletins. Failure to follow repair procedures may result in claim rejection.
4.6.6 Submitting Warranty Claims
In order to learn about unique failure modes quickly and implement corrective action, it is important to
get warranty claims as soon as possible following repairs. Authorized Service Dealers performing warranty
service are requested to submit warranty claims directly to Stanadyne within 15 days of repairing the
failed product. Claims received more than 90 days after the repair date will be rejected.
4.6.7 Reimbursement for Warranty Claims
4.6.7.1 Stanadyne’s Responsibility
Accepted claims will be credited to the CD account.
4.6.7.2 Central Distributor’s Responsibility
The Central Distributor’s responsibility is to issue credit to the account of the claimant Authorized
Service Dealer for warranty claims accepted by Stanadyne.
4.6.7.3 Authorized Service Dealer’s Responsibility
Suspect/failed parts or units filed for warranty consideration, regardless of claim type (New
Defective or Standard), are to be held for a period of 90 days by the Dealer and/or Central
Distributor. If Stanadyne does not request the parts for analysis during that period, the parts can
be scrapped. Parts that are returned without being requested by Stanadyne will be scrapped by
Stanadyne, even if the claim is rejected.
4.6.7.4 Computation for Parts and Units Reimbursement of Fuel Injection Equipment
Stanadyne reimburses the Central Distributor for parts and units at the Central Distributor’s net
purchase price, plus a percentage of the CD’s net purchase price to cover handling costs (Ref. S.L.
266). This applies to all claims accepted by Stanadyne, whether submitted by a Central Distributor
or an Authorized Service Dealer.
Unless otherwise agreed, the Central Distributor reimburses the claimant Authorized Service
Dealer at the Authorized Service Dealer’s net purchase price, plus a percentage of the Authorized
SD’s net purchase price for handling costs.

Stanadyne intends that the amount it pays to the Central Distributor for handling costs will be the
source from which the Central Distributor credits the claimant Authorized Service Dealer for
handling costs.
For specific information and examples of warranty credits for pump parts and units, reference
Service Letter 266. These examples assume that all products have been priced in accordance with
Stanadyne’s recommended discounts.

4.6.7.5 Computation for Labor Reimbursement

All pump repairs must be performed according to Pump Repair Procedures described in Service
Letter 222. The labor to perform such repairs is reimbursed at the authorized service agency’s
hourly shop labor rate approved by Stanadyne, multiplied by the number of hours allowed in the
Flat Rate Labor Schedule. For example, a customer complaint of “No Start” on an automotive DB2
pump might require:

Number of Hours Allowed

Operation
(Flat Rate Labor Schedule)
01 Clean pump and install on test stand,
perform calibration checks, make 1.0
any necessary adjustments, leak test
04 Replace electric shutoff solenoid 0.2
00 Administration Time 0.5
Total hours: 1.7

4.6.7.6 Disallowed Parts and Labor

If parts and labor is being claimed beyond what would normally be allowed, dealers should
include a note of explanation. If no reasonable explanation is provided, parts and labor claimed in
excess of allowances published by Stanadyne will be disallowed.
4.6.7.7 Credit Memorandums
Stanadyne will post credit memorandums to the warranty pages and will be available to Central
Distributors at the end of each month. Central Distributors should reimburse Authorized Service
Dealers within 30 days of receipt of credit memorandums from Stanadyne.
4.6.7.8 Processing Time at Stanadyne
Under normal circumstances Stanadyne will process claims within 30 days of receipt. In the case of
claims with accompanying parts, processing will occur within 30 days of receipt of the parts.
Delays in submitting supporting documents will also delay the processing of claims.

4.6.8 Establishment of Warranty Labor Rates

Stanadyne provides for reimbursement of its Authorized Service Dealers for warranty repairs to Stanadyne
products based on an approved hourly warranty labor rate and by the repair items contained in the Flat
Rate Labor Schedule, (see Section 4.5) or special Service Bulletins.
Stanadyne will adjust (either up or down) hourly labor rates annually by a percentage based upon
published regional economic indicators.
In the U.S.A. and Canada
In December of each year, the labor rate calculation will take place and a listing of the Dealers’ new rates
will be sent to the Central Distributors. The new rates will become effective January 1st of each year.
Outside the U.S.A. and Canada
During the first quarter of the year the calculation takes place and the new rate information is transmitted
to Central Distributors on or about March 1st.
4.6.9 Establishment of Landed Cost Factors
As part of Stanadyne’s warranty reimbursement program, international Central Distributors need to
establish and provide Stanadyne with a Landed Cost Factor so that proper reimbursement is provided by
Stanadyne when parts are used in warranty situations. The Landed Cost Factor is stated as a fixed
percentage (e.g. if a CD pays an extra 20% for transportation costs, then a factor of 1.20 is established)
that is initially established when a Distributor is contracted by Stanadyne. This factor is used to cover the
associated transportation costs, import duties and freight Distributors pay for service parts used in
warranty situations by the Distributor and/or their Service Dealers. The Landed Cost factor is added to the
CD net price of the parts plus the handling allowance (Ref. S.L. 266 OS).
Since import duties and freight costs differ from country to country internationally, each Central
Distributor will have a different landed cost factor percentage. If a Central Distributor feels that an
adjustment to their Landed Cost Factor is necessary due to significant changes in freight costs and/or their
country’s import duty policy, contact Stanadyne’s Global Aftermarket Group and the requested
adjustment will be reviewed.

4.7 Warranty Claims Preparation

4.7.1 Accessing the Online Warranty Program
The Online Warranty Program is located on Stanadyne’s Service Website and can be accessed by clicking
on the “Dealer Portal” link at the bottom of the Stanadyne home page or by entering it’s URL address:.

https://portal.stanadyne.com/warranty/svc_login.cfm

As a reminder, to enter the Stanadyne Service website you must enter your login name and the current
password in the appropriate fields and then click the “Login” button. If you do not know your login name
and/or your password, please contact your Central Distributor for assistance.
To access Online Warranty, click the “Online Warranty Program” link located on the left hand side of the
main Service Website page as shown in Figure 1. When the Online Warranty page opens, your company
information (Name, Address, etc.) along with a table that lists all previously submitted and or incomplete
warranty claims will be displayed (Figure 2). A summary of each claim can be viewed by clicking on a claim
number listed. The column next to the claim number is the Status column and by clicking on “View” the
user can see the current status (reviewed, accepted, credited, etc.) of a particular claim. Next to the view
link are “Submitted” and “Credited” date columns which show the dates when the claim was submitted or
when the claim was credited. If no date appears in the Credit column, the claim is still in the process of
being analyzed. Also, Stanadyne is able to archive a rolling history of claims that have been submitted. To
view all claims that have been submitted greater than a 12 month period, just click on the “View All”
button and a list of all the claims will be accessable.

4.7.2 Submitting Claims

It should be noted that your online session is being timed and will terminate after a period of time if no
activity is detected. Therefore, the key to entering claims successfully without having the program “Time-
out” is to have all the required warranty information handy before logging on. Please note that when you
get to the claim summary page (Figure 9) a claim number is automatically generated. At this point but
before the claim is submitted you can exit the program and return and still make changes to your claim
but once a claim has been submitted you will no longer have the ability to change it.

To Submit a new warranty claim, click on “add a claim” as shown in Figure 3. There are two types of
warranty claims that can be selected, “Standard Warranty Claim” or “New Defective Claim”. Choose the
appropriate claim type by clicking on the underlined title.

4.7.4 Types of New Defective Warranty Claims

There are two specific types of defective material returns:
New/Defective Stock and Mispackaged Parts
New defective parts and units are defined as service parts and/or units found to be defective in
workmanship or material or mispackaged when received by the service network. Examples would be a
new transfer pump blade with a missing spring hole or an unthreaded screw. The following are examples
of mispackaging:
1. Empty packages
2. Quantity shortages
3. Packages marked with wrong part numbers

In order to submit a new defective warranty claim, the material should have a value of at least U.S. $100.00
at recommended list price. In order to fulfill this requirement dealers may have to collect material for a
period of time or forward material to their Distributor for consolidation. If a claim is submitted with parts
having less than $100.00 U.S. in value, the 0.5 hour administration time will not be credited. NOTE:
Tabulate as much new defective material as possible onto one warranty claim. Do not file separate claims for
each individual new defective part.
Parts/Units Recall
In the event that the factory determines that certain parts may be defective in field stocks, a Parts Bulletin
recalling the material will be issued.
Authorized Service Dealers will be instructed to send the items concerned to the Central Distributor
making reference to the Parts Bulletin number. In such cases a warranty claim is not to be submitted by
Authorized Service Dealers. The Central Distributor is to consolidate all returns of the item onto one
warranty claim and in one return shipment to Stanadyne as instructed.
NOTE: Since only Central Distributors complete warranty claims in this type of transaction, the 0.5 hour
administration time is payable only to the Central Distributor.

4.7.5 Adding a Claim for “New Defective” Products

To add a claim for New Defective products, click on “Add a Claim” and choose “New Defective”. Figure 10
on the following page shows the New Defective Claim form. Important: Fields marked with an asterisk (*)
must be completed. Fields that are not marked with an asterisk are not required to be filled in but should be if
the information is available. The following is a description of each field and the instructions to successfully

Comments: Not a required field, but Figure 10
should be used to clarify or describe the
defect found. Also, if the issue was discussed with a Stanadyne representative, make note of it here. Enter
the name of the representative, supply a date if possible, and in a concise manner describe the decision
made at that time.
Indicate whether or not the part is being returned to Stanadyne by clicking “Yes” or “No”.
Note: In most cases you will click “No” as Stanadyne no longer requires suspect parts to be retuned to the
factory unless requested as outlined in section 4.6.7.3.
If you wish to add another new defective part to this claim, click “Yes” and then click “Continue”. The page
will clear and next part can be entered. Continue selecting yes until all parts have been entered. After the
last part has been entered, the next pages will allow for testing information and labor to be entered for
each part.
Once the claim is complete, click “Print this page” to print a hard copy of the claim summary. If parts are
requested by Stanadyne to be returned, a copy of the claim summary must be enclosed with the parts.
