No.SO(WM0)11/2019(DPC)P, On the recommendations of Departmental Promotion Committee in

its meeting held on 08.07.2019, Competent Authority is pleased to promote the following Woman
Medical Officers (BS-17) to the rank of Senior Women Medical Officer (BS-18) to equivalent posts,
on regular basis with immediate effect without prejudice to the right of their Seniors. •

2. Consequent upon the approval of Chief Minister of Punjab upon promotion to BS-18 on
regular basis, they are transferred and posted against the post mentioned against each, in relaxation
of ban imposed on transfer/posting vide letter no. PS/PSCM(CM0)(D)-19/0T47/25581 dated
25.08.2019, with immediate effect:

3. The newly promoted SWMOs are directed to report their new place of posting within fifteen
(15) days of issuance of promotion orders failing which it shall be presumed that they have no
interest in actualization of their promotion and their promotion orders shall stand cancelled.
 Those who do not want to join their new place of posting shall submit in writing that they want
to forego their promotion and they shall not be considered for promotion for next three years.

Upon Promotion, to the rank of SWMO (BS-18) the above said doctors will serve at periphery
i.e. BHU/RHC/THQ and DHQ (Non-Teaching) Hospitals for a period of two years at least.
